MISS:

As I Am Naturally CocoaShea Spray -- Didn't moisturize, soften or give any semblance of slip to aid in detangling. Used up almost half the bottle in one use and I ain't even APL yet!

ON THE FENCE:

Curls Goddess Curls-- Didn't define the curls as much as I was expecting, this is more of a serum than a gel. Once my hair dried, it was very soft and had a nice sheen to it. BUUUUT like a dummy, I didn't read ALL of the ingredients because I thought it'd be safe. It uses DMDM Hydantoin as a preservative and I vowed to never use any more products that contain formeldahyde. Companies using toxins to preserve products is not cool. :nono:

Miss turned Hit:
Darcy's Transitioning creme- I didn't hate this product in the first place. I just hated the scent. But i used fragrance oil to mask the horrible scent. now it smells like vanilla :) And its an amazing product for ng. I have 14 wk ng right now, and this product is the bomb.com for it. I don't use it for anything else but the ng

HIT:
SSI Coco Cream Leave In- it makes my hair super soft. But i'll be shelving this all summer due to the glycerin level. frizz city

Neutral:

KBB Luscious Locks
Mozeke Moisturizing Masque

Both okay, but not worth the cost IMO. Not a repurchase.

Huge Miss: Andis Ceramic Ionic Styler Dryer, is complete garbage. Horrible. Word of advice to others never buy a $20 blow dryer. Dang PJism, my salon blow dryer was good enough but i had to find a blow drier that looked like a comb. STupid blow dryer left my hair feeling like Naomi Campbell crispy edges.. Back to target its goes

Continued Hit: using Blue Magic grease and flax seed gel to twist. Very moisturized twists!

Honi

There is no board.
Miss: Curls Unleashed anything. Goes on nice but hair dries stiff. Not sure if it's the glycerin. The leave in is stankity stank stank!

Misses:
- HOTs & Pre-Poos (I earnestly tried to make these work, but all it does is make my hair a hard, tangled, angry mess)
- Pre-Pooing with EVCO (hard, knotted hair + pimples = much cursing under my breath)

Hits:
- Darcy’s Botanicals Peach Kernel Hydrating Milk - glycerin free version (works much better than its glycerin-laden counterpart, which is strange since my hair handles glycerin well)
- Sealing with EVCO on wet hair (I grabbed this in desperation after accidentally spilling my usual oil mixture. Boy, was I surprised when my hair air dried soft, shiny, nicely moisturized.

On a happy hair journey
Miss:
Jason Biotin Conditioner had a lot of slip in my hands, not much slip in my hair. Weird. I CANNOT detangle with this conditioner so I apply it to my roots and then use another conditioner on the length of my hair.
KCCC is a fail! Fail! FAIL!!!!! My hair doesn't clump into curls so a wash n' go ain't gonna happen. I tried to use it up when doing a braidout. My hair looked nice but I absolutely hated the way it felt so much so that I washed it out.

Hits:
Jason Biotin Shampoo is super gentle, so much so that I can wash my hair twice with this without a problem. It absolutely does not tangle my hair at all. Since it has biotin in it, I make sure to massage my scalp and edges really well both times.
Sweet Almond Oil ain't half bad. Bought this one a whim whim and I like it. Mixes well with coconut oil and it doesn't have a smell... at least not a noticeable one.
Sulfur 8 is working well for me. It is a medicated grease that has 2% sulfur in it. I have no idea if it is effecting my hair growth rate but it sure did stop the itching.
KCKT has quickly become my favorite detangler. Love this stuff!

HITS:

- Hercules Sagemann Shark Clips -- They hold my hair in place and the rubbery texture keeps them from slipping out of my fingers when they're covered in slippery conditioner. Other brands that make similar clips are made of plastic and I can't count how many times a clip has slipped out of my fingers and shattered on the floor. I've gone through sooo many clips, so it's refreshing to finally have some that are secure in my hands. Yay!

- Curl Junkie Curl Assurance Smoothing Lotion -- OMG. Slip for DAYS! And it really did smooth my hair. My twists are usually poofy, but now they're nice and smooth. Yes! Between this stuff, my shark clips and HS combs, detangling has never been easier. Love.

Thanks for this. I have gone through way too many of these as well.

Shea Moisture Deep Treatment Masque - read reviews that this was not a good DC, but I love it for moisturizing.
As I Am Coconut CoWash - left my hair moisturized and removed some product buildup, yummy coconut smell too
As I am Smoothing Gel - leaves my hair soft with great hold, mostly good ingredients, smells great, and does not leave my hair hard or crunchy.

Revisited hit:

Maxi-Glide Flatiron  relaxer straight results on my super-thick, super-coarse 4b natural hair.

Aphogee Keratin & Green Tea Restructurizer spray (used as heat protectant to flat iron)

Mane 'n Tail shampoo and conditioners (my hair loves protein)

HIT:

Camille Rose SOYlicious Conditioner. After steaming with it, my hair was so soft and moisturized, and I love the light scent.

CJ Rehab.
I'm not feeling this one as a deep conditioner. It's smells nice, but on my hair it is more of a wash out conditioner. The deep fix is much better than this one.

@20Something, could you further describe this blow dryer to me or maybe show me link to a picture of it. I have an Andis Elevate Ionic Blowdryer and it's red in color and I want to know if this is the same one I bought. I don't use it - only have it for emergencies. TIA!

ETA:

This is what mine look like and I got it from www.folica.com:

HIT:

Kerastase Nutritive Bain Satin 2 (shampoo) love this shampoo, smells a little citric but it works well on my hair - it did not feel dry like I thought it would, but wonderfully soft and clean.

Redken Smooth Down Conditioner - smells awesome and is great for detangling my texlaxed hair.

Redken Smooth Down Shampoo - see above.

HIT but not a repurchase:

Moroccanoil Intense Restorative Masque. This one is nice and worked okay but I like my KeraCare Restorative Masque a lot better. My KC Masque performed better and it definitely smells better:lick:.

HIT turned MISS:

Moroccanoil Intense Hydrating Masque - This works super if you use it long before it expires. Once it gets old, it smells aweful and performance is sub-par. I think it's the argan oil in it that turned rancid - YUCK! I had to doctor it up a lot with essential oils to stomach the smell. Eventually, I used it as a cowash conditioner just to get rid of it.

MISS:

Kerastase Nutritive Lait Vital Conditioner. This is a wash out conditioner that did not do what I thought it would. My hair had no slip with this one. It was on par with any $0.99 drug store conditioner. I will not be repurchasing this one, especially for the price tag:nono:.

@Aggie Its yellow, and black. Comes with two comb attachments and a kinda brush bristle like comb. No diffuser and does not have the typically barrel like tunnel in most blow driers... the air comes out of something more wider and rectangular

Your blow drier at least has an AC motor so I'm sure it will be better than the one in the link.

Thank you so much 20Something. I think the one I bought is a little better based on the specs.

Here's the link to mine for the specs:

That one seems better.. I only got the one I did get because it seemed like andis made pretty good blow dryers for its low price. Good luck on that one :yep:
