OT: as for her hair growth: i remember she said that she was a pescatarian which is why her hair grew so fast. so i decided i'd start taking fish oil capsules in the fall since i wasn't going to change my diet. i didn't change my regimen but my hair has GROWN. my mom, boyfriend, folks at church are like 'what have you done?'. last time i blew out my hair, about 4 months after taking fish oil i practically weave check myself .

i wanted fish oil to help my skin and scalp (it's really helped my skin by the way). if it's helping my hair grow then i ain't mad

LovelyNaps26 - thank you for this info! I've been contemplating taking fish oil for a while and this just convinced me. Seriously there is something to be said for people who have great diets, they can share all their hair regimen secrets all day long but their diet is one of the most important parts IMO. Just look at Traycee as another example.

Back to wiggin' it. I find my hair grows when it is tucked away. I was going to start wearing it out a little bit but wiggin' it has gotten me to bsl and if I am patient will get me to my goal of WL in Dec/Jan.

My hair grows longer on the left side of my head too. I guess it has to do with the way you wrap it?

My hair grows much faster on the left too. I have trimmed a couple of inches off the left three times in the last year trying to keep it even (my left hand fingernails grow faster than the right too). I don't wrap my hair, so that isn't it for me. I thought that carrying my purse on my right shoulder thus breaking off the hair on that side was the problem, now I see it is common.

Wow her hair is beautiful. The right side of my hair grows faster than the left side. I've cut it a million times, but that's the way it grows.

I haven't flatironed my hair in 3 weeks. She makes me want to run upstairs and rollerset!

I think it depends on the technique. My hair will only get silky like hers if I go to the salon and they blowfry it. When I do it myself its bouncier and will poof in 2.5 seconds.

Me too. I can't for the life of me get the same effect at home. The salon will have my hair laid. I must not have the technique down.

Thanks for sharing. Her hair and personality are beautiful. Now, that's exactly how I love wearing my hair. Two tips which stuck out are placing Saran Wrap on the ends after moisturizing and Oil and braiding a wig for box braids. I love box braids, but too expensive, time consuming, and can't stand the itchy scalp for the first week of new braids. I have a natural mbl wig, I'll try braiding. Lastly, I love her versatility of hairstyles. Great Look.

Her hair is simply gorgeous!!! I like her simply old school regimen :giggle: and that it works for her!...Maybe I will revisit some methods again once I reach WL. Don't know about going back to the cotton scarf though :look:

Your about to start a fish oil revolution!

Her hair is so silky and shiny. Lol @ the comment about throwing money at the monitor.

Her hair is silky and shiny because that is her hair type; she has 3b silky hair. I doubt it has anything to do with fish or their oils.

I kind of agree, not to say all 3bs have hair exactly like hers but she's one of those people who could roll around in sawdust every day and still have shiny silky hair.
