Do you Require Lots of Sleep to Grow Hair?

I have always had trouble sleeping and my hair grows just fine. The question is, however, would it grow faster if I slept more? That I don't know.

I would like to know to.

I'm a night owl too but my hair is growing.

I know that didn't help.

I have frequent insomnia........ but yet I get pretty good growth. Since Ive heard that hair (as do most organs) grows fastest while you sleep, I wonder if I would get even better growth if I got 7-8 hours per night. I sure would love to find out!

if this was true I am sure I wouldn't have much. I not saying it wouldnt help but i dont think it is hurting much. But sleep is always good. Beneficial in many ways.

That sounds like one of those Beautician Urban Legends to me. ;)

i get more than enough sleep, but to be honest its the vits that give me mad grwth. if u take vits, drink lots of water and sleep well, i guess its a bonus cuz the body does do most of its work when we're sleeping.

I really do not knowmyself...I was thinking maybe if I was more structured in my sleeping habits, my vitamins would be more effective. I wanted to know if there was anything to that premise...you know, plenty water, vegetables, fresh air and proper rest. bonjour
