5 years. She started off natural and relaxed half through her journey.

I wonder if that constant heat was the reason for her "wavy" pattern :look:

I also want to know what was so damaging to her hair before that to make her start over.

Sooo pretty!! i gotta show my momma cause her "dont let them ppl lie to you" comment is still kinda fresh. I want her to see its not lies its hard work and POSITIVITY!!!

Edit: btw my hair is finally healthy again!! I feel the difference, wintertime is not gonna win anymore!!

I had to giggle. When her hair was short people thought she was black. Her hair reached middle back length and people asking if she is some kind of pacific island heritage.

People are so stupid.

My daughter is mixed but I'm clearly not. I wonder what people will say when I reach my goal length- that I just came over from a part of Africa without weaves? Maybe I only use miracle nuts and berries? Maybe they will just shake their head "that is a weave. I don't know why she fronting!!"

I am willing to bet. She never really wore her hair "curly" natural. I think if I straightened a lot, I'd lose any wave/curl. Made me wonder why she relaxed because her natural hair got bone straight - and if she's not worried about wearing it curly...
