Shedding in braids

So correct if I am wrong but shedding is when you see the white bulbs right? So I have been in twists extensions and I see some white bulbs at the roots. I have had the style in for 4 weeks. I am trying to get one more week out of them, but what would you do? I am not going to redo all of them or anything like that, because I rotate my styles every 5-6 weeks out of boredom.

Shedding is normal and especially if you've had them for 4 wks there should be plenty of shed hair in there. I'm sure you could get one more week. What's the problem?

Yeah that makes sense, the problem is that it is noticeable to me. I have been wearing this style since the beginning of the year, with a 2-3 week break in between set, and it hasn't been like this before.

It sounds like something is wrong. I would take them out now. I'm speaking from experience. My hair was breaking badly under my extension, I thought it was just new growth sticking out, but my hair was being pulled out & breaking. To test it out, you can take one braid out and examine your hair in that section. See if it's thinned out or if the hair is doing okay.

If you're seeing white bulbs at the root of your hair before the hair has fallen out on it's own then you need to take it out right away! This means the braids are literally pulling your hair out. This can cause permanent hair loss.

Do you mean you see white bulbs at the root of you hair, on your scalp? If so, it sounds like the extensions are too tight. I would take them out. That is one of my fears about extensions, taking out extensions and seeing my own hair come out in clumps with them.
