22 Months Natural Update (Protective Styler)

Heyyyyy ladiessss! I just wanted to share my most current hair update with you. Attached are my comparison shots. The comparison of my big chop to one year later really amazes me. You see other people do it, but it's so cool when it actually happens to you. :grin:

Special thanks to protective styling and LHCF! (I LOVE me some protective styling. Waiting patiently for my favorite half wig to get here. :yep:

)

Last relaxer: October 1, 2010
Big chop: July 24, 2011
Protective style 90% of the time

Looks beautiful!!! Very inspirational! I'm two months behind you (last relaxer 12/2010) using Crochet braids as protective style (though I'm itching to let my hair out for good, lol.. What protective style do you use?

girlfromipanema I use mainly wigs as my protective style. I tried crochet braids once, a weave once, and braids/kinky twists/yarn twists several times.

Oh I am loving it! Congrats MsAminta! I love protective styling too. It's really making a difference in my hair. So much that I've been wearing them 90% of the time too. At least until I reach my goal.

Good job! Its amazing how much you can benefit from protective styling. I was just looking at my 2011 pics when I was around APL now i'm close to hip!

So glad I can be an inspiration! Transitioning wasn't too hard for me because I hid my hair under weaves, wigs, and braids. That makes it a cinch!
