Girls, I'm looking for suggestions, please. My hair is growing but I'm using a low heat blow dryer and flat iron. I don't know how to braid my hair and there is no person in close proximity who can help me. I am increasing my water intake and minerals/vitamins, deep conditioning too

Thank you

are you natural or relaxed? what do you use to shampoo, dc, moisturize, and seal with? the blow dryer may not be your friend.

i have 4a hair that craves moisture. wet sets work best for me. even when i was natural. i didn't mess with heat at all. if you are a straight hair natural, roller setting and then flat ironing might be better for you.

For me it was prepooing on dry hair with heat. I would prepoo with a moisturizing conditioner, put on a plastic cap and sit under my dryer if I sat under my steamer I didn't use the cap. After my wash my hair would be moisturized, and soft for days.

Steam once a week with conditioner and oil. Make sure your conditioner is a moisturizing one and not a protein one.

Deep condition regularly with any moisturizing conditioner (meaning contains NO form of protein) aloe vera gel, and coconut oil, warmed gently in the microwave. Wrap your head in a warm moist towel and put a towel or turban over that to use your own body heat to condition.

I use Argan oil to seal when I moisturize no matter what. It's a miracle. It saturates without too much weight. I also mix it with my leave-in, a pea sized amount.
Baggying overnight with jbco is fantastic.
I used Silicon Mix for a moisturizing conditioner aka Slip n Slide.

Ok, I've been varying shampoo but so far like my Eden's Heart Cleansing Hydrating Smoothing shampoo along with Macadamia rinse. Then proceed to a Macadamia deep treatment. Once deep conditioned, I have trialled a few different leave in combinations but the only one which gives my hair some hope is Frizz Ease for very curly hair along with Giovanni Frizz be gone and some times, I need to also use the Macadamia Oil with a bit of Naturaluxuries Avocado Hair Moisturizing Cream. To be quite frank, this ensemble keeps my hair moist for a few days however rat tail like with all the oils. Therefore, I don't leave it down. I have started to use the coolest air temp on my blow dryer with a paddle brush/shower comb and then proceed to GHD flat ironing. Let me mention one thing: I had not been following this routine until the last 2 months and had already broken a considerable amount of my hair from other products/techniques. This seems to work well for me and is simple.

I have reinvested in Redken Anti-Snap and hope to combine it alone with the Frizz Ease. Then to use shine spray to give some gloss to my hair.

What I really would love to do is to leave my hair with no heat but with a beautiful shine, all day moisture and simple hairstyle. I would deep condition every night if I only had a regime that kept it from looking so dry after wetting it.

I saw that some girls use I AM Smoothing Gel and other products from that line. A girl I saw on youtube added the smoothing gel alone after deep conditioning and her hair look so good and moist hours AFTER the product was introduced to her hair. I would love if that happened to mine!

What I'm learning is that many products will work but it depends on how you use them and knowing which works best for you.

I have relaxed hair and have changed to Phytospecifique relaxers only in the last 4 months. I am not too good with the moisturizing and sealing since my hair already feels greasy from all the other products.
