WHAT'S UP WITH PANTENE?

Ladies, I was shopping in Targets today, and I saw that just about all of the Pantene hair products were on clearance! The 25.9 oz bottles were clearanced at $4.12 anything smaller than that was cheaper, of course. This included all styling products, all lines.

The new line, Pantene Expert, was displayed plentifully on two end caps, with a few items strewn on the shelf. Pantene also has new prices that match the new product. $7.99 for small shampoos and conditioners and as high as $13.99 for stylers. I read a few bottles and jars for ingredients and didn't see anything that warranted $13.99. I wonder if they are going to revamp the cheaper lines or phase them out, entirely? Relaxed and Natural conditioner is one of my drug store fav's, I hope it isn't going anywhere. Anyone heard anything about this?

Hmmm...Chocloatepie, I wonder if they will revamp the packaging, upgrade the ingredients or change the prices. I wonder if there will be more buzz when people get wind of the new, high end line? I don't read too much about people using Pantene anymore, I guess it's tired.

Has anyone tried their Co-Wash Cleansing Conditioner, Clarifying Poo, DC (I wonder if it's the same as their original DC mask from a few years ago!! :trampolin) or Shine Serum with Argan Oil? I love the smell of Pantene products and if I like it, I'll cancel my WEN orders.

Today was a day for tracking down the new Pantene products like a hound dog.
Thank you, Ladies, for letting me know about them. Even though I'm trying to calm down my PJism for various reasons, I'm not a fool. I knew that I had to track down the new Pantene Co-Wash.

I was not successful. I went to a few Walmart stores and not one had the entire line available. Clearly, the products were on the shelf but all of the co-wash was sold out! The shampoo's were gone. It is quite evident that there are a lot of greedy PJ's out there!!! Co-washing is out of the closet. When I found something it would be the Truly Relaxed line when I wanted the Truly Natural line. I found the Shine Serum but I passed on that. At the third Walmart, I got lucky and found the Defining Curl Custard. Only 3 were left. I bought them and decided to forget it until Walmart restocked.

:sad: On the way home, I stopped at Target and a couple Beauty Supply Stores. No luck. Since I was passing Sally's, decided to stop in there and ran into another PJ. I'll quit sniffing around for awhile, since I could not find the Co-Wash online, either. The main two things I wanted are the Curl Custard and the Co-Wash. So, I'll be all right.

The Pantene Relaxed & Natural is on clearance at my local Bed Bath & Beyond for $1.98. I bought a bottle of the shampoo and conditioner. So, I made out with only paying $1+tax, because I had $3 off coupon for buying two Pantene products.

I know the shampoo has sulfates in it, but I only plan on using it once a business quarter to get rid of build up.

I plan on asking all of my friends for their P&G coupons for Feb that don't coupon, so I can go back and stock up on the conditioner for co-washing. The author of Curly Like Me Terri LaFlesh recommends the conditioner for co-washing. We'll see!

Pantene has a COWASH?! Subscribing! ALways loved the smell of Pantene products!

Does it have silicones? Those make my hair breakoff and shed by the handful. If its 'cone free then it's ON!

I didn't know Pantene had a cowashing product. I saw a commercial last night that said there are no sulfates in their new formula.... I don't know if they meant all lines or just a particular line.

Ops, the commercial was for Herbal Essence.

I got the DC at Walmart last night (just $2.94!). It smells wonderful and made my NG so soft. I love it.

The new Pantene Truly Natural line is the truth! I have never loved a product so much. Loads of slip and my hair is so soft and moisturized!:yep:

From what Ive seen, its always the same ingredients. I use to love pantene back in the day, but when I started learning ingredients, I became confused. The Expert line has the same ingredients though.

I don't care what they do. They bet not get rid of my Daily Moisture Renewal Shampoo & Conditioner or the Overnight Cream:nono:

I use the Shine serum. I haven't tried it on straight hair, though I'm sure it would be great. I use it to scrunch out my hair after I've used any type of style cream, specifically Pantene's Curl Defining Custard. This product is everything for my hair, but it does leave an intense hold and crunch to my hair which I then scrunch out with the serum when my hair dries. I don't think it's special from any other serum but it smells good, provides shine and doesn't add any frizz.

The Curl Defining Custard is everything for my hair, but not for everybody and it seems to have disappeared off the market in my area like a lot of Pantene's products are known to do. I now have to order it online from Walmart, ordering several jars at once.
I use this product for wearing my hair in loose curls, twists, ponytails and I add it to my gazillions of other stylers that don't provide the hold that I want. So the jars go fast! The other products in the line, I'm still able to find, which is good because my hair is loving this line.

Personally I LOVE the Beautiful Lengths line. I tried Relaxed and Natural and it was eemm... aight. It's thick and detangles nicely in the shower (Beautiful Lengths).

I recently bought the co wash and I love the smell, Terry LaFlesh from Tightly Curly doesn't recommend the Patene relaxed and natural line because it has Sodium Cholride. I personally didn't care the other ingredients are great and the sodim cholride is far enough down on the list for me, besides I don't follow her method of leaving conditioner in my hair and not rinsing it out, I do leave in a good 35-40% of it though and I haven't had any problems or set backs with this ingredient.

But as they say everyone's hair reacts differently, but I love the co wash, nice and thick and creamy and the slip is amazing and so is the smell :)
