When you see the length i'm cutting to, yes, i will be taking the plunge to remove the last of the old texturized ends. Do you think its short? WELL OF COURSE YOU ALL WOULD FIND IT REALLY SHORT. Its for the best, my hair will be a lot healthier. BTW my hair isn't dead straight as i was wearing it in an updo style. i think it maybe be top of bra strap.

I salute your bravery den. The length you're about to cut off is pretty much all the hair I have on my head right now. But if you know your hair will be better off after, then it makes sense. :)

lol i'm really not brave....but the old hair has to go

I applaud you. I'm like you, I see no need in holding on to damaged, over/underprocessed hair....I don't understand people that are afraid to cut or hold on to old hair. You've taken great care of it in the past, it will be beautiful as it grows :)

I'm so sowwy for this but I REALLLY don't think you you need it.:nono: They look thick and healthy to me. Did you try pulling the relaxer through the ends.

I've cut off close to a foot of hair before.. and my hair didn't even need it, I just wanted to switch it up. If your hair will be healthier, do it. I think health trumps length.

Yes, i've pulled the relaxer through and i did come out straighter and softer. My ends are super thick but they're not healthy.

I agree. I don't think your hair needs to be cut, den1. I know you have todo what you feel works, but you have worked so hard to retain this length it seems ashame to just cut it.

That's how I feel. Den are you saying that are damaged because they are underprocessed? You didn't want to give pulling the relaxer down ONE more try? If it damages them you can just cut them off as planned.

But I understand the want to start all over, that would be so exciting.:p

Haven't you seen how frizzy, dry and crinkly my ends are? Airdrying hasn't helped them either

Yes exactly, its damaged and feels drier because its underprocessed by my old Affrirm relaxer and its caused my ends to split easily. I don't even want to bother going through my ends with the relaxer again. I have a feeling that the chioce i'm making its gonna work out better in the long run.

Do what you got to do girl. Your hair is very pretty so even if it is a bit shorter it will still look good.:D

Dennnnnnnnn dont cut !!!puhleaze:( lol its hurting me like its my own hair!!!!:( but i hear you if it s for health but why you dont do it gradually like 2-3inches just the ends. You can go ahead though i m just so chicken i m still crying over the 2inches i cut last month  but why not cut after it grows girl? that s drastic but at the same time hum clean slate but your hair is fine sweetie;) i would just take off 2-3inches and more later if needed

stop making me laugh man!!!.....I can't be bothered with gradual trims, at kleast if i cut it now i shouldn't need a trim for at least six months as i'm starting with healthier ends. I wait until i get more length in the meantime i will be cussing my ends forever, and i'll get depressed and do something stupid. My hair grows fast anyway, i'll probably get the length back in 3 months.

good luck with the cut. i don't have the guts to cut that much hair at once. Since it'll make you happier, go for it.
