it doesn't give quite as clean of a cut as it advertises. there was a demo with one at a hair show I went to and I personally wasn't impressed. i would only use it for bangs

When I first started to cut my own hair, I would use the longest barrette I could find, and trim off below it. I can't believe this is an actual product,.

Really? Thanks for the feed back. Was the demo done on African American Hair? Maybe it is not for our textured hair?

It was done on a white womyn with stick straight hair... What kind of style are you going for? I would use it to create an even guideline if you want to do a blunt cut on a friend or on some bangs, and then using your shears after that. it is great to make an even level cut, but something about the layers and angled cuts just wasn't quite right. I don't know if you're familiar with any texturizing cut techniques such as point cutting... but I would do some texture work after making layers with this thing.
Maybe it gives more of a "home" hair cut look than salon quality and I think I was expecting salon results. If you get it and use it can you post the results? I'm pretty curious about how it'd look on curly or textured hair.

Even the cut shown on the demo video was not even. It will mess your hair up - even a blunt cut. Just go to a professional.

I can't believe you ladies are giving it such bad reviews. I got excited when I saw this! I thought it was going to be the most convenient thing ever for my self-trims.... dang! Guess I gotta do it the old-fashioned way... :(

Ladies, I'm bumping for more feedback on this product.

I've decided that I want my hair cut in a U-shape, instead of blunt, but I don't trust a stylist to do it. :nono: I've studied Feye's method and just may do that, but this clip looks interesting, especially after viewing the Youtube.

Thanks in advance for any additional reviews...

I have this and I'm thinking about doing a youtube video in the future. I use it keep my hair blunt and I use it to cut long layers in the crown area and to frame my face about every 3 months. I use it every month for my bangs that are straight across the most. I stopped letting stylist cut my hair earlier this year because I was tired of being unsatisfied with trims. Its a $30 well spent in my opinion.

Are there any demos of people cutting their own hair with it?...I really need a trim, but I don't want to go to the salon.

I want this too!

EDITED: Ok, I just watched the YT video. I think my DH would finally agree to cut my hair using this.

Someone just posted a review about this here. Hold on I'll find it............................................................................................................................
Here it is! It was Chevelure618 and hairdrama:{ uses one too. I think it looks neat but I can't imagine ever having enough hair for it.

I am bumping this old thread because I want to buy a Creaclip for regular trims on my natural hair. Anybody still using this little gadget??
I plan to blowdry, flat iron and trim my hair every 3 months to keep split ends away.

The last time I posted in this thread I was relaxed but I'm natural now and plan to use my crea clip the way you describe once I straighten my hair .
