Random Lighthearted Thread: Why don't you post in the Hair Forum anymore?

I have a simple regimen that works.

There is too much focus on products and growth aids but not enough on actual technique.

The regimen police and ingredients police

IDK I have kind of lost my passion about talking about hair. plus my hair is ceiling length now so I feel like any advice or experience I give is ignored.

I wanted to do the blogging thing instead but I really just don't have the time

I visit once a month to see if there's a sale going on, that I may have missed.

Depends on what mood I am in regarding hair; for example, right now, I'm all about wigs. So if I post anything it'll be about that.

Plus, no one says anything new anymore.

Ladies, help me out! I found the hamster thread, so happy that is not a POC.

Please provide me with a definition of UE and Ceiling Length. Is Ceiling length when your BAA hits the ceiling of your car, the lady whose dreads drag on the floor hair pulled upward toward the ceiling, terminal length? TIA

Please Advise!

I give advice when I can...but I mostly lurk nowadays. My regimen is everchanging but my hair has grown to beyond wsl then I cut it and it grows again, then I cut it again....so on and so forth. I am a recovered pj so I do like to hear some info on new products or techniques from time to time. I no longer take pictures regularly tho...I wish I could get back into it but I never can find the time or the batteries ain't working or I ain't got a phancy phone or blah, blah, blah...lol.

I do but not as much. I think I'm at terminal length since my hair has been this length for 2 years now. I shouldn't fool myself thinking I could be a waist length, etc...

I feel that full MBL is good enough although WSL would be nice.
I got my regimen down.
Pre-nursing has dominated my time. In between semesters I still read medical and biology books.
I lurk and thank a whole lot though...look at my thanks number :yep:

I still do as my newly natural hair hasn't reached its goal length. But, I also like to read new threads that are interesting. I do admit to being more in the Entertainment and Off Topics threads much more.

I have bad hand in hair syndrome so I try to stay out of this section because I won't let my hair rest if Im in here thinking about my hair all day

I was wondering if anyone had any tips or want to share their regiment after washing. For the life of me my hair always frizzy and wild after every wash until I blow dry and flat iron :(. I really want to use less heat and allow it to air dry but it seems to puff right up once dry.

Nyah22 How about rollersets? Indirect heat + blowdry/flat iron results = exactly what you need.

I have 2 reasons;

1) After lurking for 2yrs, I finally joined the forum this January and then I saw the magical land of OT,ET and others. Wow; entertainment, interesting debates, good life lessons/advice all in one place. The best $6.50 spent.

2) Unfortunately my hair is not thriving and there is hardly anything that can really be done about it(really bad psoriasis) so the other boards gave me a space to be able to forget about my hair

I lurked the hair board for a year then joined and was ONLY on the hair board for a year, then discovered the entertainment, off topic, and other boards and they were a nice distraction because I was constantly length checking before. I pretty much have a routine down, although I am in a couple of challenges.

Plus like someone said, the archives are the best if I need info or advice.

I've been on this board since 07 and most of the threads are repetitive. I feel like people shoud use the search tool to their advantage because I guarantee If they do, they will find more than what they were curious about. I guess there's really nothing new. So, I'm mostly on the other forums.

I'm more focused on my fitness journey, than my hair journey, so I also spend a lot of time in Health & Fitness. Hair is growing just fine...it's the fat that needs work. :yep:

I've been a lurker and never tripped on paying until I read this. I literally read your post and immediately joined. I do love the hair advice, but I need to focus on my fat. That doesn't sound right!

I'm into other things now, like writing and I devote most of my free time to that. Plus I don't really buy a bunch of different hair stuff cause I know what works and all.

And everything is the same thing just regurgitated, but you'd only know that if you've been around for awhile. I don't see anything new since getting into the hair world so most of what I see is old hat.

I post now and again but I have been on this board for maybe 4-5 years and chopped my hair 3 or 4 times, so I was never really here to grow much, I mainly like to see what new products look good and techniques, which I usually do a search.

I became bored with my hair (found my regimen, no challenge = no fun, lol) so I was just popping in there from time to time to see if I could help someone else out or check out some new styles. Now that I'm transitioning and trying to figure out my products and a new regimen I go there more, but I lurk and use the search button for the most part.

Even topics in the other sections are really repetitive, yet there's usually more gems to find than in the hair forum.

I'm not obsessed with growing my hair anymore

If I have any #longhairproblems I find the long hair community more helpful, just in terms of how to deal with all this hair and wear it up

Sometimes I feel like i'm not welcome here because of my hair type :ohwell:

At this point, I know everything and anything needed to keep my hair healthy and grow it long.

I no longer obsess about it

The other forums are much more entertaining to me

I don't visit celeb gossip blogs, so I get my info on here and like to hear the ladies perspectives on things. Mostly because I find a lot of them intelligent and humorous.
