How many inches did you grow

Merry Christmas to all.

Since we are approaching the end of another year I was curious how much length were you all able to retain this past year? I know I had alot of growth and some breakage earlier aswell.

All and all I guess my hair probly grew like 6-7 inches, but i had to cut my hair 2 times and at one point it was badly matted. I think I only retained 3 inches and 4 in some area . Well better than nothing I guess.

But I know so much more that I did before because of all you lovely ladies. I know 2007 will be my year for my hair to grow. I will be investing in a camera soon so I can start my progress pics.

Same for me, It grew about 5 or 6 inches but I had major breakage so I wasn't able to retain all of it. I don't know how I found this site but I'm glad I did!

Breakage stopped me from retaining a lot of hair but I figured since it was my first year with healthy haircare practices I'll give myself a pass, but next year?!?!? IT'S ON!!!!

In answer to your original question I retained about 3 inches in some areas and 4 inches in others.

I didn't count but the fact that I did 50,000 trims and still have hair on my head means A LOT!

I'm not quite sure because I have'nt been measuring my hair but whatever amt I grew....I kept all of it

THANK YOU THANK YOU. I was so waiting to hear someone say it. My family just shake their head and walk away. I said it looks longer to me but they keep on walking thank you. You made my night. In terms of inches. I have no ideal how many inches my hair has grown since the BC I will have to find out sooner or later.

I have no idea

I basically kept doing little trims from January to April and then I had a 4+ inch cut in late May. That set me back a total of 5 inches This took me from 3" from waist, to 2.5" from brastrap

Now I believe I have regained 3 of the inches lost since May, and I think that includes the 1" trim I had at my last relaxer. I am all confused, but I stopped counting inches and am more looking to where the hair falls on my back.

next year though, i will be counting. I REALLY want to get to lower midback!!! no more setbacks for me.

Its hard for me to say. I know for a fact that I retained every inch from Sept 05' to July 06'...and that was about 6 inches or so...but I am in the process of cutting out highlights..which I thought I was done with but I still have about two more inches to cut...that wont be anytime soon since the majority is already gone. So since July I cut about 2 inches.

Not much at all, maybe 1-2 inches. It doesn't grow that rapidly anymore...

I haven't a clue. For the first 9 months of the year I wore weaves & didn't relax. But from September - December, I'd say I gained - I dunno 2-3.5 inches maybe (i don't measure and can't really tell inches by the pictures)? Thank God I haven't had any breakage, so I've retained it all

I grew about 6 inches. I had a light dusting/trim in November but even with that I got my 6 inches for the year. I am sooo pleased. Co-washing, Prescription Strength Pre-Natal vitamins, and drinking lots of water helped me to retain those 6 + inches I grew this past year. Happy Healthy Hair Growing Everyone !

I have about 2 inches of new growth from my last relaxer in August. I really don't know how much growth I've retained from the whole year though because I've had some major cuts and breakage.

I think I retained about 4 inches in the last year. I'm happy with it ! If I keep up this pace I should be BSL by Spring of 08 so I'm happy!!!!!!

I've retained all the hair I currently have. So that's a bit over 7 inches I suppose.
