RPG Show Wigs?

I'm thinking about investing in an RPG show wig. I've been stalking reviews on youtube, but most of them are sent free wigs so their reviews don't mean as much to me.

Is there anyone who has ordered an RPG Show wig? Do you think it's worth it? I'm not about that life so $300 for some hair is a big deal  but I know I'm spending about the same on wigs anyway. TIA!

I remember reading on one of the comments that the quality they send regular customers are not as great as the one youtubers receive. That's all I know for sure but the wigs looks very nice on YouTube!

See that's why I haven't ordered...because after I added all the extras it was close to 450! I'd be fish frying hot if I got duped.

That's what gets you! I discovered that the sales.rpgshow website has 14 and 16" for under $300 which is still a lot but doable with free shipping if you want to return. I can work with $300 but anything over that is too much for me.

I own one RPG show wig. I was new to lace fronts and ordered the glueless cap and they sent me a regular cap. I did not know to return it. Other than that, it was the most natural looking hair I had up until that time. I got tons of compliments on it. I wore ti daily for about 4 months and on and off other months. I have had it for over a year and it still looks good. I cut bangs into it and wore it last week. Got tons of compliments on my new hair cut. I wash, condition it and put it back it the original box when I'm not using it. I would definitely buy an rpg show wig again.

I also purchased a RPG wig and it is the most natural wig that I own. I own several when I was on a quest to find the perfect wig to wear as a protective style during the winter. I purchased the glueless cap. I have not worn it out of my house yet because I am paranoid about wearing wigs. Once I overcome this fear I will wear it because it looks natural.

You are too funny! I want the one with bangs so I don't have to worry about hairlines and stuff like that. As far as wearing wigs, have you tried easing your way in with halfwigs? People always think I have a weave when I wear those and I feel comfortable with them on.

AmiJay, I have a halfwig but never tried it. Is there one you would recommend. I think you are right, I need to ease into it. I have nightmares of the wig coming off. I need to overcome this fear and a half-wig might be perfect.

I'm also new to lace wigs and bought an rpgshow one last month. I agree that the ones given to the YouTube gurus look so much better (but maybe that has something to do with them being gurus in the first place - they're good at what they do?). Either way, I'm pretty happy with my purchase and plan to buy one more (I wish it were cheaper, though lol). I also just blogged about it, too. :)

Rozlewis, I'm a big fan of Sensationnel halfwigs. 7048 for when I'm stretching, 7021 if I'm being fancy and don't want to wear my hair, and 7047 is my latest. I always go to hairsisters.com and read their reviews and see the wig from all angles then look on youtube for even more reivews. I don't do weaves anymore since discovering half wigs. And I never pin my half wigs down and have yet to have an incident happen.

I was wanting to get one so I can give my hair a break and not look tore up when I am too lazy to do my hair. I want one with bangs too, so hopefully the Naomi wig I saw will be a good buy.

They have a $30 off- code: cscwig so I picked up the 8" Rihanna one. I like the one with bangs too, but I can't deal with long flowing hair getting in my way. If I end up liking this one I'll purchase another one- maybe the Tyra one and get it cut shorter.

Is it really worth it? If I spend hella money on a wig and it's not butterflies and rainbows I'm going to kick myself!

Are you saying you think the quality is better on theirs or they just know how to style it better? I'm a cheapskate so this will be a really really big deal for me!

Isn't it almost the same as remy hair? Including the install by a pro you spend close to $500

Girl, I have never spent money like that on a weave and never will. $500 is half of a thousand. I can't spend that on hair. I'm too cheap. If I go RPG show from the sales website, it's about $278. I can justify that because I spend that much money over the course of a year on wigs and haircare products.

I'm about to break down and buy one. I'd hate to spend that kind of money and let it sit in my closet. I watched this ytvid and am thinking of getting that one with the bangs. The pic of the yt guru wearing it on RPG Show's site did the wig no justice. I think this looks pretty cute but...erm...about that price tag. I'm just gonna hang out around this thread and see what everyone thinks about the quality of the wigs before I fork over three, fo hunn'ed for a wig that I may or may not wear much.

Please keep the comments coming, ladies. Inquiring minds wanna know. :yep:

I would go with an American vendor like Glamor House of Hair!! I love my wig from them. It's coarse yaki. And was 275.00 18"

Either is an option; I'm such a newbie at lace wigs anyway that I really have no idea. All I know is that their wigs almost always look better on them than they do on me, but I don't need to look glamorous. As long as I look presentable and the wig lasts for at least 6 months, then I will consider the money I spent worth it! :yep:

Vendors definitely send different quality to Gurus then they do to paying customers!!! This is one reason I take reviews with a grain of salt

Try out lacewigsfront , they have some of the most realistic looking kinky straight hair I've seen in a while. But also their prices are pretty cheap.

And if you want the low-low , go to bhm and get a certain vendors e-mail address, he'll hook you up. I just ordered and received two bundles of hair plus a custom closure for less than $ 200 and just made my own wig. Hair is fiyah also!

wetwavy, I normally don't wear lace front wigs, but the RPG Show wig with the bangs caught my eye. I really want something nice and easy to throw on my head and still look put together. And don't get me started on BHM. Those women make my head spin with all their fancy wig knowledge. I can't keep up!
