I have seen natural hair that is moisturized. Yours even look moisturized in your pic. But along the lines of what RelaxerRehab said relaxed moisturized hair looks very different from natural moisturized hair. Most natural moist hair isn't shiny-if that's what you look for in moist hair. It's more of a sheen.
Well, does your hair just look dry or does it actually feel dry, too? Sometimes looks can be deceiving.:.Krys.: said:So what are you guys doing to get that 'moisturized look.' It seems like no matter what I do to my hair it will always look dry. It looks nice and shiny and moisturized initially, but later it seems to look all dried out really quickly. I moisturize and seal w/ oil and still this happens.

At least twice a day, I use the Garnier Fructis Length & Strength Fortifying Cream Conditioner as a moisturizer, put their Anti-Split Ends treatment on my ends...and as of yesterday, I tried Nexxus Phyto Organics Humectin as a leave-in moisturizer and then sealed with Amla Lite oil, and that gave me great results, too.
Also, if your hair feels dry, it could be what you're moisturizing with. Maybe you need a "heavier" moisturizer, in the sense not that it weighs your hair down, but it has more moisture enhancing properties.
Yeah right!Michiko said:She also stated that perms lock in moisture in hair

Yeah don't get rid of your moisturizer, dump your stylist.Anancy said:I hope you're willing to look for a new stylist because it sounds like she doesn't know much about hair.
But yes, natural hair can look very moisterised.
:.Krys.: said:Yea I think that it right there ^ (the bolded). It does feels dry, not only look dry. I've been using the Africas Best Kids Shea Butter Detangling Moisture Lotion that a lot of naturals rave about, but its really not doing much for me. Its really thin and runny and I dont think its moisturizing my hair well at all. Off to find something heavier. Thanks!!!
