I used naptural85's recipe as a base but added other oils (ayurvedics, grapeseed, thyme and cedarwood) . I luv' the result.

What is being used to wash it out? I recall going through so much to get rid of buildup that it ruined the benefits.

That's odd, im al ways amazed that I can basically wash my hair (squeaky ) clean with just water even though I use shea butter almost every day.

Where are you purchasing your Shea butter? Is it refined or unrefined?

Not that you asked me  but I got my last order of 55 lbs of unrefined shea from Amazon. It breaks out to be much cheaper at that rate. If you have the space to spare, go for it. :)

I whipped mine with coconut oil and it is awesome. I plan to try Naptural85's suggestion as well, maybe not all those oils but whatever I can get my hands on.

Duchess007 I get my shea butter from amazon but it is a company in my town. It is unrefined white shea butter. It is softer than the yellow one.

In my whipped shea butter mix, I include:
  • Extra virgin coconut oil
  • Hairveda's Jardin Conditioning oil
  • Organic Argan oil
  • Pracaxi oil
  • Rosemary oil
  • Lavendar oil

In my next batch, I'll also be including pumpkin seed oil and possibly Japanese camellia kissi oil.
