How does everyone keep track of their hair journey?

I remember in my old days of stalking lhcf everyone used to have fotkis and what not, but now that's obviously not the case. How does everyone keep all their hair progress pictures organized/on display these days? :look: Is that even a thing anymore? I'm asking because I want to be able to do this/be in on the loop lol.

I'm not a social media person really, so I just keep track of it on my own. I have some pictures on my phone, but for products/ingredients I just make sure I write down what works for me. I'm good at remembering brands/ingredients I've already tried, so I know if I didn't write it down, it didn't work for me.

ITA! I kept/keep pictures in the gallery of my phone(s) and I tracked products in a binder that included a calender as well as lists of products I wanted to try/or had tried.

I use an app called Flava to keep track of every wash day/ relaxer. It's a journal that u can add pics to. Has been helpful. Helps me to record results, new products and methods

I have different columns for that too :yep: And when a vendor acts up before I buy, I find them on that list and do a strikethorugh so I know why not to buy from them.

I have some pics in a folder on my computer and phone. I keep my product usage in my memory.

ETA: I also put length checks on my phone calendar.

I use the website blogger.com to keep track of everything. I can type anything I want and post pictures and publish for everyone to see or just save it if I don't want anyone to see the post. It's really good, there's a link to mine in my siggy. It's really simple to use.

I started a personal Hair Journal 6 months ago and it's been invaluable. I'm very detailed.

I have a shutterfly fly account. It allows you to make a website which looks better than fotki imo. I don't advertise it that much but it is cutiebe2.shutterfly.com
I'm updating now for 2014. It allows you to have text, pictures, links, pages, just like a website

I just remember what products I use in my head. It's not hard as most don't work. I have difficult hair so its easy to remember what works and what doesn't. I don't take any pictures. Also I post threads about the things I am experiencing asking for advice and I post reviews products I love. I just come back here and look at my profile.

I'm not a paper person, thus I opt for electronic resources that I can access at all times. Before launching my blog, I used Evernote. I now rely on my blog for updates.

I try to take pics every other month. This helps tremendously for keeping
track of growth. It also serves as proof that my hard work is paying off.

Paypal keeps track of my products lol!

I keep a (electronic) hair journal for trims, regimen, products purchased, products used, product hit and misses, recipes, wish lists, Etc.

i keep progress pics in phone and in folders on computer. When I was relaxed I kept a folder for relaxer updates and techniques that worked.

I have a phd in my hair. Those journals have saved me many times. Sometimes i get a "great idea" and I forget what I used or what didn't work. Search the journal and voila answers. Keeps me from making the same mistakes twice. Also the journals helps me duplicate good results.

:lachen: Oh god...

In all serious though it's really itneresting to see the many different ways everyone keeps track of this. I know I said I might do a blogspot, but with all these different methods I have no idea what I want anymore hah!

Rnjones This was such a good idea! I downloaded the app yesterday and I've already transferred all my notes, regimen, products, techniques etc over. This app also backs up all the info online to icloud. Love it!!!!

I just keep track on my own with pictures so I can see my progress. I just flat ironed today for a length check. I post pictures on my IG and FB that document the date.

To be honest, I just use the personal album on LHCF. I talk about my hair the most here so I might as well just keep the pictures updated here too. I like that I can just upload whenever I want and not on a schedule. I usually put a little note on the bottom of the image as a way to remember what was going on with my hair during that time period. I tried using the LHCF blog and blogger.com but I don't keep up with it. Products wise, I'm able to remember what worked, what didn't, and what was just mediocre. I use waaaay too many products so instead of always documenting what I like, it's easier to make a mental note. If anyone wants to know something bad enough from me, they usually just ask.

healthyhairdontcare I used to have a blog. It was for my personal challenge of banning for one year. But it was hard for me to do it consistently. I think once I stopped trying to keep other people updated and just focused on my own personal knowledge is when I was able to keep focused.

I used to keep a pretty detailed offline photo journal on my laptop, but my laptop died. Now I blog as well as back up the photos on my (new) laptop.
