I just subscribed. I never seen her before but she seems so nice and genuine. Divorce is hard even coming out of the worst marriages so I can only begin to imagine the pain and stress she's under.
I seriously want to give her a hug!

I am sorry to hear. I couldn't watch the whole video because it was making me tear up. I wish her all the healing and restoration her mind, body and spirit can contain in 2014.

Why do YTer's keep changing channels? It's confusing! I hope she doesn't hop back and forth like Sistah w/Real Hair.

Sista with Real Hair had to change her channel because she signed up with a youtube "network" which is a scam and is robbing her of her money. She made a video about it.

Yes, I recall that. However, in December she referred people back to the original channel for a contest in this video. She was done with her contractual obligation to that channel in October/November of 2013, so she should stop uploading videos to it.

I need to check but I think they pulled another fast one on her and when she went to end the contract they told her it wasn't done and that it wouldn't be done until next year, a year more than they said the first time. I agree she should stop uploading but I guess she still likes the channel? I don't understand why she can't just delete the entire channel....

She looks so different. I remember her from Reniece's site discussing her weave journey. It looked like she would burst out crying at any second. I'm so sorry to hear about her divorce.
OMG! That last photo she posted with the measuring shirt was shocking.
I know she admitted to neglecting her hair but I was not expecting that.
This is so upsetting. I remember her mentioning that they met in law school and were study partners. I hate to see marriages break up.

OMG I screamed out loud when the picture of her hair came up. I never would have thought you were talking about her when I clicked the link. I won't cry for her though. Nope. She is a strong beautiful woman and will fully recover all that was lost including love. I will pray though.

It's a branding decision to change channels. When I decided to switch everything to Kibibi Hair, YouTube didn't have the option to change a channel name. The divorce video will be the last video posted to the mskibibi channel.

It wasn't easy but I had to b/c not talking about it was stopping me from talking about anything hair related. I feel freer now that its out in the open.

Poor Ms Kibibi! I follow her blog from time to time, but I had no idea her set back was that severe! But I have every faith that time, patience, and some self-love and care will have her and her hair bouncing back in no time.

Wow. That is crazy. Her hair & the divorce. I know on some videos she seemed to be in a happy marriage so this is horrible to hear. Even the look in her eyes were different.
I think as part of our human experience we can recognize when others are in pain. But hopefully, you'll see the light return to my eyes because I'm in a much better place now. Promise.

LOL Thanks for the laugh, I literally laughed out loud. My ex in-laws were always supportive of my blog, book, etc. so it wasn't them. (But that's still funny as hell).
Thanks for subbing and joining. My hair is relaxed. For my winter regimen, I wear wigs but I don't wear weaves a lot.

Aww Divorce is hard on everyone but it's behind me now and I'm excited about my future. Honestly, I was more nervous about telling everyone about it than anything else. Opening up on YouTube is not for the faint of heart. But I didn't let being scared stop me and I'm happy I did it.

This is by far the worst setback I've experienced in my 10 years long hair journey. But, I've made it to waist length before and I'm confident I'll get back there again soon.
