I had to stop eating my pistachio yogurt after seeing that. And I couldn't even see the pic all that clearly...

That is foul and downright disgusting. What would posess someone to leave an install in that damn long ?!?!?!? I can't even feel sorry for her b/c of her sheer stupidity and nastiness :nono:

That looks like a "net weave" because it's all in one piece. I had one of those over the past summer. I had an event to attend and needed a stunning hairdo in a hurry. About 2-3 weeks in, my hair had that "sour" odor to it even after washing and I realized it was because even though I was washing, I wasn't getting all the way beneath the netting and also because that area didn't really dry fully. No matter what I did or how I washed, I couldn't shake the smell. Plus it was the HEIGHT of high summer so I was sweating. It was like going around with a stinking hat on in AUGUST. I couldn't wait to get out of that thing. The stylist saw me without it and she said, "You paid all of that to wear it for two weeks?!" But it just wasn't for me. You can't tell me that person didn't notice the odor coming from their head.

lockandload -- It's that net material. If you take a whiff of it out of the pack, it has a chemical smell to it. When I use to use it, I use to soak my net overnight before I used it. I soaked it in shampoo, Tide, and rinsed with a fabric softener. It made a huge difference. Plus, it made the net much softer since they are somewhat stiff. You'll see whatever chemical they use surfacing to the top. I suggest soaking it in a basin and not your sink.

Ahhh! I never even thought of that. I gave the stylist the net in a package. I never even saw what it looked like out of the package. If I ever weave again (which is doubtful), I will keep that in mind! Thanks!

:barf: I've had net installs in for two months and they have never smelled. I got them tightened every two weeks or so.

That is probably what happened to this woman here.

OMG that's nasty as heck! It was dirty and dry! I would refuse to touch that mess!

I frequently wear sew-ins, it's my preferred PS. I wash weekly and use a blow dryer on low level heat to make sure each braid is dry underneath before adding my spray moisturizers. I NEVER have this problem. I also, never use a weaving net, I need to be able to clean my scalp during the week after I work out. I get a cotton ball and diluted witch hazel and clean the scalp thoroughly. Sorry I"m ranting, but you cant just throw on some weave and forget about healthy hair practices underneath.

I'm surprised the stylist isn't wearing gloves. :barf:
Nope and just think if that is a fungus in that lady's hair and the stylist doesn't know that then they're probably going to reuse that brush and smock. *shudders* I've seen other videos of her washing clients hair and she is usually wearing long nails when she does it. I wonder how sanitary that is.:nono:

"Mmmm, this meal was expensive, I don't think I'll brush my teeth the next few days so I can keep enjoying the taste."

Sounds crazy, right? That's what I hear when people want to hold onto a hairstyle much longer than they should because it was 'expensive'. I'm sure this persons hygiene is lacking in other areas as well. Pukeworthy.

Imma need my people to stop being so dang lazy with our hair. I mean come on. You're already not actually dealing with your hair, and you can't even be bothered to take care of you scalp and keep yourself clean :nono:? When you would rather deal with crazy itching, a stench, and go 6 months straight of not seeing your hair or scalp, you have a problem. Like really :spinning:

Ladies, ladies, ladies. Some people don't realize that having a healthy SCALP & HAIR outweighs having a nice HAIR STYLE.

I do Sisterlocks, and have seen [and tried to correct] a lot of that. The part gloves/smock/and I believe she was sitting in a cloth chair is what bothers me most; AND that the stylist is probably breathing that in....... NAW SON, I loves my respiratory system.

And then the next person comes in and they use the same brush:barf::barf::barf::barf:

How the hell can that person not be ashamed to have someone else touch their hair looking like that?!? I would NEVER let someone near my head if that's what I did to it, I don't care if it took me a week by myself to get rid of the hair, mold, and evidence that I was that nasty. :nono: And how much money do you want to bet that she turned right around and put ANOTHER weave in her hair so she wouldn't have to deal with the damage that she caused? SMDH.
