Which has worked better for you in terms of using heat with your DCs?

Steamer
Hard bonnet dryer
Soft bonnet dryer
Body heat
Hot head or heat therapy wrap

I was trying to use the poll option but failed.

I have a soft bonnet dryer and a heat cap. I prefer the heat cap for my DCs because I feel that it penetrates more than the dryer. I've heard that a steamer is really good for DCs.

The hard bonnet dryer and the Hair Therapy Wrap are what I have. They are on the same level...but it takes the Hair Therapy longer to DC. I like that is mobile though for when I have stuff to do around the house. I like the dryer for speed. Body heat takes forever and a day and doesn't get my dc to penetrate as well.

I agree about body heat. But I have gotten great results from some using body heat, like SheScentIt, Camille Rose Algae, Ynobe Amla and Nettle, and My Honey Child conditioners.

I've used the hot head, it was just okay to me.

When I was using Naturelle Grow conditioners they worked great with heat.

I wonder is it the conditioner, or the heat used with it that makes it work? Hmmmm...

I do not like the hot head thermal cap.

I like my heat therapy wrap. I also like my hard bonnet dryer. I have a steamer and just started using that again.

I use my heat therapy wrap the most out of connivance. But I get equal results from the therapy wrap, hard bonnet dryer & steamer.

I vote steamer, even though I have a hard bonnet dryer. I feel the best penetration when I use my steamer for my pre poo and DC sessions.

Yeah, it also depends on the conditioner. Some work better with body heat. For example Silk Dreams Mocha Silk works excellently with an hour of body heat...just a plastic cap on, not even a scarf on top of that. But Aubrey Organics dcs require a Hair Therapy Wrap for them to penetrate my hair. I like to see little to no product on my hair after I take the heat source away.

I have tried them all and I get the best results with my heating cap using the DIY steaming method. My least favorite (just does NOT work) is using body heat. Does absolutely nothing for my LP hair.
