This breaks my heart a little bit. I didn't know her personally, but her sweet soul seemed to come straight through the computer screen. She reallh had a soothing spirit. Condolances to her partner and her family.

She made me see that it's true, there are black women can grow long beautiful hair and inspired my switch to healthier hair care practices.
I have 2 cousins battling this terrible disease and I would not wish it upon anyone. She had such a positive following in social media and I'm sure this translated in real life as well. May she rest in peace.

That's what I'm saying. You figure with all of the new 50-11 prescription medications they create on the market everyday, there would already be a cure for Lupus. No cure for Lupus, HIV/AIDS (allegedly), Cancer, but I can find over 20 different new and improved prescriptions for erectile dysfunction or weight loss. Sorry for the rant everyone. This is really sad.

So very sad. I have watched her videos before, and she seemed like such a lovely person. It's such a shame to pass so young. My condolences and prayers go out to her friends and family.

How terribly sad--I have a few friends with lupus and I know how horrible this disease is. I enjoyed watching her videos--RIP angel.

Oh my god, how did I miss this post! My heart is heavy and this hits so close to home given that there are people in my life that has Lupus and my own struggles with chronic illness.
I didn't know her personally but I was a devoted follower on her channel. She seemed so cool, calm and down-to-earth. May she RIP.

I have not read this thread yet, I'll go back and do that I just saw Traycee's video and came here. My condolences to her friends and family, I wasn't a subscriber but I have watched her vids and thought she was a lovely girl. God's grace and peace to her loved ones. So very sad and shocking for one so young...donations are being collected to help with the expenses for those interested.

I'm sorry to hear of LHDC2011's passing away. I came across her videos a few years ago and was amazed at how she grew her hair so long. I had no idea she had Lupus, but I remember in one of her early hair journey vids she mentioned having been seriously ill at one point but was doing much better. She was definitely a long hair inspiration and seemed like a very sweet and grounded person. Now I know why she hadn't posted in a while. May she rest in peace and condolences go out to her family.

I've been putting off coming in here because my hear has been heavy with sadness over this news.
My mom died of lupus when I was about 4 years old and she was only 26. Through this day, and I am now 34, I get sad and angry when I think of it sometimes, smh....I thank Jehovah in prayer each day for the wonderful hope he gives us in the Bible to one day rid the world of diseases and death and suffering. It's just too painful to see lovely lives end this way. I pray for LHDC2011's family...they need all the strength they can get right now.

I thank her for taking the journey and showing others how to take care of their natural hair. She was an inspiration she will be missed so very much. There are no words for what she must have gone through and what her family is going through now. Her body is no longer fighting this terrible and devistating disease.

I am very sad to hear about this. I remember she mentioned that she was growing her hair long so she could feel good about her looks while dealing with illness.
It makes me think that we should all put forth the effort to reach our lifetime goals, especially hair goals since this is a hair forum and she taught us how to care for our hair.
Our time here is very short.
