Kimmaytube is back

Glad to see her back!

I think so people see her as "condescending" because she tends to have a "finger snap" approach and even a hint of frustration in some of her presentations. Its not really her latest video, but I've seen it in some older ones. It doesn't bother me or take it personally but I see where it could rub some the wrong way.

She's also not warm and cuddly as say, TheHappyHairShow and some other BFF type YouTubers.

I don't really find her condescending either. The only thing that rubbed me the wrong way is that she tends to ignore YT comments.. except if its a negative comment, then she will tell somebody off LOL Well that's what she used to do anyway. Hopefully she cut that out.

Whelp...guess I'll add my 2 cents also

I watch KTs videos and me personally, I feel like lots of ppl get this weird vibe from her videos but we're all drawn in still.

My opinion, everything is too scripted. Even the little side jokes, doesn't seem genuine. My other subs like Naptural are more personable. But she treats her channel nothing shy of a professional business.

She tends to use science, facts, research, etc in her videos and they all seem to contradict my other subs so I get confused... Should I ONLY listen to KT or should I listen to others???

Regardless, her videos are helpful and she has amazing length.

She really does have wonderful retention and I don't mind her tone because she explained the reasoning behind it. I just think that her hair looks a bit boring and that's fine because it works for her. Hopefully she'll be a bit more adventurous in the future, but if she chooses not to. I still have Donedo and MahoganyCurls.

I don't see how she is condescending. Honestly her videos out of many are the best bc she breaks it down to a science. It helped me get back on track for sure with my hair.

Wait, be positive, keep believing, and all will surely be yours. Sent from my iPhone using LHCF

I got to hip length by doing protective styling (most of the time) and minimal heat (works great in my opinion). One of my friends is growing out her daughter's hair by doing protective styling and minimal heat, and now she's at waist length.

I just watched the video and she didn't seem condescending to me either. I'm not a fan (I don't like her hairstyles, my hair didn't like her leave in conditioner recipe, etc.) but she makes quality videos. I would be more interested in her workout/diet tips than hair.

Her hair is beautiful and I would probably be more interested in her fitness reggie. I would kill for my stomach to get that flat.

I always enjoyed her video's. I like the way she speaks, its clear , concise, and straight to the point. She would make a good teacher.

After all this time, this was the very first video of hers that I've ever seen. It seemed fine. I liked it. I expected intolerable attitude, but she seemed normal to me. If I watch any more I probably won't read the comment section.

As for her being uppity... it appears she's "too uppity" to sleep with and get pregnant for another woman's husband. I'll take that kind of uppity all day! Also, it seems that many of the naturals who went in on her over that Taren mess still haven't reached her length. So, I like that she moved on and kept doing her thing!

Girlllll * finger snap*

I see that a lot of the big time you tubers ignore all questions and positive comments on social media but will respond to negative ones so I stopped commenting or liking their stuff but I'll still watch. Let them feed the trolls.

Maybe I need to start watching her off mute. I'd like to hear about this hair science to get my hair from this purgatory length.

Taren isn't on a length journey. She just cut her hair again. I'm not trying to pit the two against each other, but Taren wears her hair out every day and still retains length.

Anyhow, I never stopped following Kimmaytube. She posts some videos on her Luv Naturals channel. I've been waiting on her to officially launch her next venture, hairLuv. I'm looking forward to it.

ETA: I didn't realize she talked about hairLUV in this video.

Say what?! We love a good fight around these parts LOL :lachen:

Taren's forever cutting, dying, frying her hair
