DIY Temporary Hair Color...

Hey Ladies -

I just stumbled across this video on YT and I'm thinking about ways to do temporarily give myself some highlights (without using those awful sprays and chalks). I might try this (although shea butter tends to make me breakout along my hairline :ohwell:)

I have heard of people using gel and eye shadow...may give that a try.

Anyone here have experience with this or other DIY temporary methods? Please share!

I use temp colors all the time. The best brand I found so far is:splat washables. It's a lotion consistency, and goes on very easily.

It can be messy, so wear gloves and an old t-shirt. Once you apply it, hit it with a little hair spray and it will last WITHOUT rubbing off till u wash it out. I applied my moisturizing and sealing products and it was still there. Very little came off in my hands.

The cheapest place I found that has it is Walgreens or Wal-Mart.

That's actually a brilliant idea! If you are allergic to shea (I am too, I get sores in my scalp any time I use it) you can probably substitute any soft butter.

I think I'm going to give this a try because I've been wanting to do a crazy color, but don't want to deal with the damaging effects.
