I have been bypassing this product in Target, largely because I never see anything about it on here. I was in Target with my 6 y.o. DD and she looked at the logo and said "Look, you can see her brain!" She was talking about the very pretty black cameo and the rose in her hair, but oh well, I laughed so hard, I decided, what the heck, I'll bite.

I'm a natural WNG girl, so I don't do anything fancy. I bought the Curl Love (Leave-in) and the Curl Maker (Jelly/Gel). The products are extremely light, even though they go on heavy, and left my hair really soft. Curl definition was not the absolute best, but for all the moisture and softness, I'd say it's almost a fair trade. I think the Curl Love does a good job of elongating and moisturizing, but I did sacrifice some of the definition. Today I used the Curl Maker without the Curl Love. Just OK results and I highly doubt this is more than 1 - 2 day hair, but I have to say my hair is enjoying the vacation from the crispy curls I usually have (I use L'oreal Curl Defining Gel).

Any one else tried/liked/hated it?

cocomama IdareT uofmpanther Where are you guys getting them from? My Target only has a few of the products. I think there's another conditioner-type product and a shampoo or something. I actually got third day hair from the CurlMaker alone, so all in all, I think this was a good buy. I can say this--my hair has not felt this soft and conditioned in a very long time!

Not sure why it's telling me this message is too short. Lengthening it for no reason. LHCF is trippin' on me today!

Target or curlmart. My Target only has the Almond Jai, the curlaide moisture butter (this was too thick for me), Curl love hair milk, and the curl maker gel. I've seen other stuff at other Targets though.

My friend loves the aloe whipped butter gel. She said it's like almond Jai with a little hold. I want to try it, but curlmart is sold out every time I try to buy it.

In Addition to Tar'Jay Check: AveYou or Curlmart (also Target on-line).

When I first started using their products, I was getting them from a n on-line Natural Hair Care store (who has since gone out of Business).

Bumping! Products are working really well for DD. I've been a bit of a product ho lately, just jumping from thing to thing. But I'm circling back to these. Tried the almond jai twisting butter on DD. Magic! They have a new Coconut Water line of products. I like! Only used on DD's hair so far, but her braids stay moisturized all day. Her hair seems to be getting a lot healthier (and a lot more attention from mommy lately). I've heard there are lots of bad reviews on here, but I can't find them.

I'll ask @NaturallyATLPCH and @shawnyblazes to share their reviews of the Coconut Water Line.

They saved me some money. Their reviews kept me from making that purchase.

Thank you Ladies!:yep:

ETA: I thought I'd love the Jai Almond Butter, but felt it probably worked "better" on Natural Hair, so I swapped both Jars with 2 Natural Heads.

It had a little 'too much' hold for me.

I dont mess with this line any more, LOL. Too many formulation changes for me. I did prefer the old deep conditioner before the label changes and it went into Target. I'm protein/coconut/shea sensitive ( depending on how good your formula is)

I bought the new Coconut Water line out of curiosity. After NaturallyATLPCH said that DC was horrid, its still sitting in my PJ room (I've also been protective styling back to back). I have tried the leave in conditioner but I was only to refresh dry hair. It wasn't bad but it wasn't stellar either.

OMG, yes, that Coconut Water DC was HORRIBLE!!!!!! I did like her Algae DC when I first big chopped but based on her notorious formulation changes I figured I wouldn't get anything else from her.

The Moisture Butter was okay but it left my hair sort of coated.

@NaturallyATLPCH

I still have x1 of these from the 'older' version.:yep:

I also liked the Janzyn's Moisture Max and SOYlicious Conditioners. And I like the Ajani Growth Balm.

I wanted to try the Caramel Co-wash, but never bought it.

I mainly use the products on my daughter. They didn't do much for my hair, but she and I have very different hair. I'm shea sensitive, she's not. Very few things "don't work" on her hair--and a whole heckuva lot doesn't work on mine! I didn't like the coconut water DC at all. I used it on my son and said "see it smells like coconut." He said "No it doesn't," he's 4 BTW "it smells like banana milk." He's right. Why does the coconut conditioner have a banana scent? In any event, i didn't like the way my hair smelled after using it. The leave-in (coco water) works great on my DD. But it has shea butter glycerides, so I don't think I'll be trying it on myself. So far Almond Jai is the standout product (and I've never used it myself, only on her). The caramel cowash is not bad, but not great. Still have the Aloe Whip Butter Gel to try. Thanks all!

I've tried the Fresh curl and aloe whipped gel, used for a couple months consistently.
The fresh curl didn't do anything for my hair. Not detangling enough.as a 4b natural. Made my hair really greasy
The aloe gel was really bad :( I used it as a gel layered with butter and when it dried my hair felt like bricks!! It had no hold when used as an edge gel and made my hair greasy. I used such a minimal amount that I was super surprised that my hair reacted that badly

OK. Now I'm afraid. I subscribe to Mahogany Curls on YouTube and she does go on about it being good. Of course she uses a lot of things that didn't work for my hair, so not surprising. I'll try it...but cautiously! Thanks!

I LOVE the Almond Jai Twisting Butter. It has worked wonders on my transitioning hair. I was using Shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie for my bantu knots outs before this and my hair was always so dry. This twisting butter had my hair so moisturized and held the knot out so well. I'm never trying anything else!

I was in Target today deciding between Camille Rose clarifying shampoo and Kinky Curly Come clean. I went with the Come clean only because I liked the ingredients better but may at some point try the Camille Rose clarifying shampoo
