Oh yea I lover her channel, I have been a subbie of hers for a while. She's mad cool. She was even featured on BGLH I believe last year or so. I think her hair is similar to mine, so her hair is my dream goal. :)

You should check out her hair growth journey video its very inspirational.

Her hair is lovely, but it doesn't look like the type of hair that is typically ID'd as type 4. She appears to be some version of the 3 variety.

Love her hair but it isn't type 4, looks like a 3b/c mix to me. Hair type is size only, not shape or texture. Generally type 3 hair is associated with being fine and silky, that's not the case for everyone.

Pic of her hair, type 4 coils are much tighter. Her hair is just "afro textured"

Does it really matter though? Her hair is stunning and we should just appreciate it. Not put it into a box.

Wow, her hair is beautiful. MBL is my ultimate goal, but the more time I spend on this site, it makes me want to grow all the way to tailbone!

I agree.. it really doesn't matter I mentioned type 4 (4a or 3c4a) because that's what it looked like to me while watching her vids.. but definitely gorgeous whatever her hair type is.

The title says type 4 hair, that's putting it in a box, I'm simply putting it in the correct one. Clearly it matters if they specified hair type when posting and people clicked a "boxed in" thread that's says type 4 hair with no problem.

A lot people clicked just to see the long natural hair. I saw Omg long natural hair and that was enough for me to enter the thread. But to find pics and post an analysis of her curls is doing way too much. The main points are that it is long and natural. Too many put stock into this whole hair type nonsense. At the end the day. It all comes down to moisture and being gentle with your hair.

The first few comments said how nice her hair was. Yours was the only one with a screenshot. The girl says her hair is 4C, so be it. Why go into detail over it?

I get what your saying; however, if someone is saying they are a 4c but are clearly a 3a, then that's misleading. It's like Lucy Liu telling me she is 4c.

I appreciate long hair, but I appreciate it even more when there is an individual that has a similar texture, curl pattern, density... especially porosity. With that said, idk what curl pattern this utuber has, but her hair is gorg and i envy her hair's ability to retain moisture.

SN: I LOVE reading others interpretation of a curl. I find it interesting that one person can see as one thing and others see it as something else.

Hmm.. As type 4 hair gets longer it appears to be type 3 which it is not. It's because the weight of the hair is pulling(elongating the curl)

My hair looks like that when soaking wet, but as soon as it dries... It's 2 inches and no curl pattern.

Mine's too!! When wet it's 3b, but as soon as it dries it's def a 4a.

Sigh.. OMG can well just please enjoy her hair lol... and there is no correction since you don't have facts that her hair is not in the 4s (IMO it doesn't matter ). I watch so many YouTube videos and her hair looked in the 4 range which is why I said that. If you watch "moknowshair" she has many type 3s in her channel which looks different from the YouTube I mentioned...

But again it does not matter..her hair is loooing and natural.. I had a feeling someone would come in the thread debating about her hair type smh..

^ This depends on how silky your hair is, or something. I don't think truly kinky hair (not super curly or frizzy hair) does that :look:. My hair never changed curl patterns no matter how long or wet it got. My type 4 MBL hair wet looked like a type 4 curly fro :lachen:. Water makes my hair a little more defined. That's it :look:. It barely elongates at all. The top part of my hair is has a curl pattern when dry, and it still didn't change to 3b with water .

I've seen other type 4s MBL+ who's hair doesn't become 3 anything just because it's wet, even if it elongates a lot. I've watched the youtuber in the OP before. Her hair is gorgeous :lick:

Same here. My hair is MBL and my curl pattern does not look stretched now that it is longer. It is the same pen sized coils through 'n through.

Both of these ladies appear to have type 3 hair. Even when wet 4 hair doesn't hang like that. I'm no hair typing expert, but I know that I am a 4 and so is my daughter.

Her hair is beautiful. I'm gonna go check out her other videos to see how long it took her to grow her hair that long. Wow! who says black people can't grow long hair??

My hair (natural) hangs when wet in the shower and dripping wet. I am 4a or have a very coily hair pattern.

The lady in the video wasn't in the shower. I'm sure any hair will hang while drenched with water. I was talking about damp or dry hair.

I don't get how its so easy to say she is a type three yet hair crush aka chime has people swearing up and down she is a type 4 with "long hair elongation"
