Airplaning

The results are not worth the stress... regular rollersetting, braid outs, will give the same stretch level... I mean, it really has to produce amazing results to be worth the outerspace kinda look. lol

I saw a lady do that donkey years ago on a woman's hair when I was in a salon. It was an old Black salon where anything goes really. The woman's hair was shorter but the same technique was used of pushing the hair through the hard roller and rolling the ends on perm rods. A hot mess! She used some kind of holding gel on her hair so it was sticking straight up with her ends curled tightly under. I wanted to laugh but didn't. I didn't know the name of that style until now.:look:

What? If she like it I guess. Not my cup of tea.

For anyone not wanting to watch she too a small magnetic roller pushed the length of a section of hair through the volume hole I guess of the roller. Then using tension rolled a perm rod onto the ends.

She may as well have done a traditional rollerset. This "airplaning" uses the same tools and takes the same amount of time, but the results are not as good, IMO.
