Does anyone else get lazy and just put mn on random spots and massage it all in?

I applied mn with a drop of lavender oil and I did a nice scalp massage. I put castor oil on my edges and now my hair is in a bun. I probably won't apply again until Monday since I'm working all weekend.

I read in an old MN thread that even if you only apply the MN to one spot in your head, it causes your whole head of hair to grow. Does anybody have any experience with that, that it's true?
I kinda think there's some truth to it because I've been applying MN to only the front quadrant of my head in Dec because I'm trying to make it catch up to the rest of my hair. My pic in Dec showed me at APL in front, but when my DH did a LC for me last week, he said it's past APL in the back. (I didn't see it or take a picture, but that was his umprompted response when I asked how long it is. And when I was trying to make APL a few years ago, I showed APL in the front for about 2 months before I showed APL in the back.)
I'm hoping this theory is true because I have my hair in a PS style (with no added hair) and I have limited access to my scalp. So I'm only apply MN and sulfur oil where I can. I hope I still get all over extra growth.

Starting pic of my edges. I've been trying to grow them out since like 2008. I've used MN before on my nape but never on my edges so I hope this actually works

I gotta massage with mn tonight. I'm feeling some new growth in my crown and in the back. The sides are still bone straight so I will focus on the front and sides today

I applied my mn to random spots all over and massaged it in. I also castor oiled my front edges. It serves 2 purposes: edge tamer and growth aid.

HappyAtLast I believe it works when you apply it in certain spots; your hair grows all over. This is from what I've read and personal experience.

I measured my hair today and my right side is 1/2 inch shorter than my left side. I want the right to catch up by March. If not I will even it up myself
