Woo! I was off today so I started my hair fun last night. I use the Beautiful Textures system (second time) but ended up too sleepy to get to the flat iron part. So today I flat ironed half, went to the gym and ran errands, and then flat ironed the rest. Moisturized with bask Silk and Honey latte (love that stuff)

Please share pics when done!

I am almost too embarrassed to post this picture. I got my hair done at Huetiful...yes, the same people who make the steamers catering to mostly natural hair. You would THINK that they know ALL about natural hair. Do you see how DRY my hair looks?!? This was the before (the trim) picture. I am happy with the amount of growth I have gotten. This is 2 years and 8 months worth and it hits BSL. She did a great trim but that is the only positive thing I have to say about the entire experience. I will put details in the salon review section as I don't wanna take over this thread. I will say that I will never go to Huetiful Salon in Atlanta again.

I really wanted to wash my scalp, but I didn't want to have to take down my twists and retwist so I put them into 6 big braids and washed with Keracare hydrating detangling shampoo. Did a quick protein with Aphogee 2 min mixed with a bit of neutral protein filler and then did a quick condition with HEHH.

Then I put each twist into bantu knots that I hope will turn out cute for work. I still haven't mastered how to do them and have them look cute every time.

I was going to revisit L.A. looks gel. I bought it forever ago and did not like it. The gel I use currently (Deva curl light hold) is kind a expensive and I'm trying to hold onto my money lately so it's worth a shot.

I agree with @iamyattababe Your Hair =

OT: I do love Huetiful's DC'er. Hope you picked up a jar.:look:

Thank you ladies! I washed my hair today and sure enough, I have some heat damage in the front. Thankfully, it wasn't a ton so I just snipped it off.

I really did like their DC. It was super thick and instantly softened my hair. I need to check out the ingredient list.

Sorry you had this experience Hun!
Next time, go to Replenish Salon and ask for Stephanie. She's been doing my hair relaxed for years but started doing natural hair a couple of years ago and is good. I went to her for a trim and I was pleased. Her and Brandi used to work at Huetiful but branched out and opened their own salon. You can follow them on Instagram to see their work but she's great. I've been dealing with her since 1998, she never disappointed. @AgeinATL

Thank you SO much for the suggestion. I looked on their instagram and I am VERY impressed! No heat damaged hair and lots smiling faces! For my next trim, I will give them a try and let you know how it goes. Thanks again Blue!!
