@Bibliophile
That disturbs me about the AO.:eek:

I bought several bottles of WC and HSR and a bottle of GBP when they had that huge Sale regarding the 'change'.

Even though I've kept them in the Fridge, I need to get to them soon. I would hate for them to go bad on me.

I had some Island Naturals spoil on me and it was not a pretty sight or scent.:barf:

MISS - my shameful hair laziness these past few months. I need to get my life together. Especially since I have dyed hair in the back. *sigh*

Hits: Cantu Shine and Define Custard (whole name's too long) on DD's hair. DevaCurl Heaven in Hair (on mine, but that price tag...)

Misses: As I am Naturally...I gotta put you down--except for the Coconut CoWash. I think I've tried every product...flakity flake flake! Deva Curl B'Leave In...I mean...I'll keep trying but...I don't think we made a love connection.

@IDareT'sHair That was my last bottle from the AO Sale. Fortunately I can still find the original formula conditioners on the ground. None from stores have gone bad.

ETA: yes, those AO conditioners reek when they spoil; especially those with milk protein.

"Miss": Cholesterols.

If I was natural I think these would be fine for WnG. They make my hair a little bit more "stiff" than what I'm used to and not as soft but my new growth feels ok. I don't think my hair likes paraffin but they seemed so creamy that I thought they'd work. I could probably add some oils but when I test products I want them to work as desired without doctoring up just in case I don't have time/don't want to mix anything on a particular day. So this is a "miss" but it's not bad. They didn't do anything terrible to my hair.

On the Fence: Soultanicals Kink Drink
Great smell, great ingredients. However, I'm not really sure if it's doing anything as far as softness. It kind of makes my hair a little hard. So once I use this bottle up, more than likely I won't repurchase. I've tried it on wet and dry hair.

Major Hit:

Took some Me time today and made it a Henna Sooq/Darcy's Botanicals (with a dash of Soultanicals) kinda day.

Pre poo'd with Henna Sooq Cocoveda oil for an hour

Cleansed with Henna Sooq Cocoveda shampoo bar

Deep Treat with a mixture of Henna Sooq Sukesh Ayurveda and coconut milk for an hour

Deep Conditioned with Darcy's Botanicals Pumpkin Seed Conditioner for a couple hours (plastic cap/no heat)

followed up with L.O.C method using:

- Darcy's Botanicals Sweet Cream leave-in
- Soultanicals Power to the Pre Poo oil (I like to seal with this)
- Darcy's Botanicals Coconut Lemongrass Transitioning Creme

My scalp feels clean, healthy and moisturized and my hair feels strong, smooth and oh so soft. I will most definitely make time to repeat this routine at least once a month.

Major Hit: Beautifully Bamboo Hair Skin and Nails Pills
Man, these things have my skin looking amazing! Nails are still struggling a bit as I am growing out wear and tear from nails but what's coming in looks nice and strong. My new growth also looks nice and full. I've been taking them for three months now.

Official Miss: Soultanicals Afrotastic Soul Elastic DC
I used it today sealed with APB's Green Powerhouse Oil (which helps make my hair super soft to enhance a DC) and my hair was initially soft, but only because of the oil. It still dried DRY as I was styling. I used it with body heat today for over an hour (last week I used it with heat). I've listed the remainder on the exchange board.

As dry as it makes my hair, I don't think I want to attempt to use it as a prepoo.

Thank you for the reviews @NaturallyATLPCH. What a disappointment... I've been eyeing that DC. :(

I'll stick with what I know: Hair Sorrell, Honey I Shrunk the Frizz Strand-Poo Bar, Master Cleanse, Afrodite Shine Almighty-Gloss Boss, Plait'num Roots & Power to the Pre-Poo.

HIT: Bee Mine Luscious Moisturizer: My braider uses this on my hair to smooth it before she braids and it makes my hair so soft and moisturized.

COMPLETE MISS: Taliah Waajid Protective Bodifier Mist: I had a little bit left and decided to use it before I got my hair braided and it goes on easy and makes it soft at first, but that doesn't last and build up comes quickly. I was really hoping to like it because there are not a lot of quality cheap products out there.

Hit:
Lace naturals brahmi mask mixed with Annabelles butter
This mask doesn'twork at all when I have too much protein but I tried it last week mixed with some butter. I only dced for an hour but baybayyy the moisture and softness that my hair is experiencing is ridiculous!! My hair is still moisturized 3 days later! I think i found a good balancing dc and I'll be repurchasing! The only downside is I use quite a bit of the conditioner so I will only get 3 to 4 uses out of the 16 oz jar.

Initial hit: Shea Moisture Fruit Fusion Masque

Both my new growth and relaxed hair are shinier and softer. Very, very few tangles and sparse shedding/breakage during blow drying (I'm 4 months post relaxer). When I was washing it out I could feel that my hair was more firm and detangled.

Another initial hit was Shea Moisture Manuka Honey Masque. For me it's not as good as the one above but runs a close second... It it's a bit less effective than the Shea Moisture Fruit Fusion Masque all around but still does a good job at detangling, moisturizing and strengthening.
