It's so easy for the products to pile up especially when you are firming up your hair care regimen. You buy something you like, and then you hear about something else that conditions/cleans/protects/smells better and before you know it you have a shelf full of has beens. I've been using Keracare for a while, but I know I saw a tube of Pantene conditioner lurking around the other day. It's hard to use up those last hanger oners: you don't want to use that conditioner because you used up the matching shampoo and one doesn't seem to work that well without the other.

Is traveling with all this stuff a hassle for y'all? I really don't realize how much stuff I have until I have to pack it all in Ziploc bags for the suitcase. That's when you ask yourself "Is my hair really that high maintenance?"

Now that I'm serious about thickening up my hair, my product stash is growing. And I'm a natural product junkie so I might need an intervention pretty soon. I'll check in later lol.

Too many, from my pj days. Now what I'm doing is combining all of my moisturizing conditioners in to one large container, and protein conditioners ect. I'm not going to let them go to waste and they manage to get the job done whether I need moisture or strength even when they're combined...

I recently feel that I have alot of products but I make my own concoctions and try to keep it as simple as possible:

I keep my hair in cornrows (no extensions)

Clarify (with my cornrows in): Bicarbonate of Soda solution then shampoo with White Camelia shampoo

Overnight Treatment (take cornrows out) and add my home-made mix of Shea Butter, VCO & Cocoa Butter mix with added essential oils (doubles up as my body butter)

Pre-poo treatment: JBCO and Honey mixed with Aubrey Organics GBP for protein treatment or Aubrey Organics HSR as a moisturing treatment

Shampoo: Aubrey Organics White Camelia shampoo

AVC rinse with Tea-tree & Lavender essential oils (usually add this to the Bicarbonate of Soda solution but will start doing this separately after I shampoo but before I condition)

Conditioner: Aubrey Organics White Camelia or Anita Grant Rhassoul Condish

Get my hair recornrowed.

Conditioner Wash: Diluted Aubrey Organics White Camelia conditioner

Spritz: mixture of rosewater, glycerine, aloe vera juice and essential oils and seal with Anita Grant's whipped butter

Seal the ends with shea butter and JBCO

I have recently purchased sapote oil and aloe vera butter to try. I am planning to try a Giovanni shampoo and conditioner as I find the white camelia smell quite strong and I may try their remoisturiser.

I have a lot of stuff that I don't use and I only use these
Clarifying shampoo
Moisturizing shampoo
deep conditioner
protien treatment
Cheap conditioner (for co washes)
Oils
gel
leave-in conditioner

I usually end up giving stuff to my mother. I have been good though with buying stuff. I only buy what I need now. I'm glad I don't have to use all of that other stuff anymore. I should just throw all of that junk out.

chellero

Wife Supremacist
I have
12 conditioners (mostly cheapies)
2 shampoos (CON and Suave clarifying)
4 oils (castor, emu, wonder 8, Aphogee)

4 moisturizers (profectiv, BB growth, ORS bottle, Elasta QP mango)
5 leave ins (Sunsilk Anti Esponja, Lacio, Giovanii Direct, garnier sleek and shine and Herbal Essences breaks over)
3 growth aids (MN, BB growth serum, BT)

Let's see. I have:

1 shampoo
1 conditioner
1 protein treatment
2 leave ins
2 heavy creams (one isn't actually a heavy cream but I consider it one since I use them in the same way)
1 moisturizer
Henna

These are my main products.

I probably have 3-4 other products (serum for heat usage, curl definition), but those are rarely used.

Now I have:

2 shampoo (Aveda DR, and Sap Moss
2 conditioner (Aveda DR and Brilliance)
2 leave-in/moisturizer (Aveda DR condish and Brilliance condish)
1 cream (Aveda USC)
1 oil (infused with a couple of herbs)

These are my main products, the ones below are used on occassion:

1 gel (Aveda)
1 holding spray (Paul Sebastian)
2 heat protectants (Chi Silk Infusion, and Aveda Damage Control)
1 treatment (Henna/Amla powder)
VO5 for the random cowashes

I have 80 plus and trust me they are too numerous to list:nono:.

I am so ashamed of myself:ohwell: and what's worse, I gave some of them to one of my nieces last month. I will not be repeating this craziness this year though. In fact, I haven't bought any hair products yet for the year:grin:.

At least 70. Possbily more. And by have, I assume you mean OWN, not use on a regular basis. If it's just use on a regular basis, I'm around 10ish, or so.

Those are just the conditioners (cheapies all!) and I had previously covered our ENTIRE 6ft long kitchen island with all of my products - and I KNOW I've brought more stuff sense then.

:nono: And I'm on lotion crafter RIGHT NOW buying more stuff. Tis a damn shame, it is.

I'm still denying my PJ tendencies, though.
