Ladies able to throw on a satin bonnet /scarf on loose hair and not have tangles in the morning it would literally be tangle city if I did that seriously??

Pssh, I've learned my lesson and stay in twists under a wig. When it's time for wash day I detangle with water + Mane & Tail, go back into twists, spray ACV on my scalp, Shampoo my scalp, then rinse. Take down the twists and condition. DC length can vary depending on how much time I have to spare. Rinse in twists and either leave them to dry or take them down and put them into smaller twists.

Twists on twists on twists, any time I let my hair shrink up into it's un-stretched state my end knot up and I lose progress so I end up trimming. I have a satin pillow case in case my head scarf falls off at night.

If my hair was in a twist out or a rollerset I can leave my hair loose under a bonnet. Never tried it with just a pillow case because i couldn't maintain a style.

As long as my hair is stretched it works.

I put my hair in two loose bunches at night and wrap it all with a silk scarf, or baggy and silk scarf. Also because I tend to wear my hair loose, I notice the less I touch or play with it, the less tangles I get overall.

If I sleep with it loose and uncovered, shrinkage attacks but it is still fairly easy to finger detangle.

I protective style with wigs, so I keep my hair braided or plaited and I sleep with a satin bonnet and on a satin pillowcase.

I use hair ties and section my hair into eight then tie them up with a hair tie and put a scarf on. I cannot go to bed without protecting my hair in some way because I wouldn't have a style in the morning.:afro:

Hi faithVA, my hair still tangles if I wear it loose even in a stretched style. So I just re braid nightly, dunno which is worse tbh

Lately I'm sleeping with the hair loose on a locsoc. It looks like this:

It doesn't bunch up my hair like a bonnet does, since the length comes out and stays kinda stretched.

I was never, ever able to do that as a natural. I always had (and still do) twist my hair nightly before putting on a scarf and a bonnet so that I won't have excessive tangles in the morning.

I put it in a loose pony tail directly on top of my head (pineapple), so that whether I'm laying on my sides, back or stomach, my loose ends are not really manipulated through out the night, bc I'm not laying directly on them. I put a bonnet on top of the loose pony tail, and I wrap my edges with a satin scarf.
