Looking For A Good Flat Iron

I upgraded to a FHI Platform from a Sally GVP back in May. I really like this flat iron, but I would love one with digital temperature control. While this iron works well and is very smooth, I would love it more if I could set the temperature exactly and couldn't accidentally move the dial during use. Which flat irons/models are good and have digital temperature control?

I've been looking at the FHI EPS Black Diamond flat iron. It's digital. JCP had a good promo on it during the holidays. However, I didn't bite at that time.

FHI has good flat irons. I still have the pink technique one from 2008 still working like I just bought it. it doesn't have a manual temp control though. I also have the black platform one,& that one has the temp control.

I used to have this flat iron and LOVED it. I dropped mine though and the plates broke so I bought a Babyliss Pro Titanium to replace it. I personally prefer ceramic versus titanium I find titanium to be more damaging. That new FHI EPS Black Diamond flat iron looks promising; I'm gonna more into it since I'm looking to buy a new flat iron soon.

I went to Sallys and asked for a flat iron that's just as good as the chi and FHI and she showed me one... Can't remember the name now but that might be a good plan for you if money is an issue... Will tell you the name when I get home..

I had one of the more expensive ones, but I now use this cheaper one from Sally's and love it:

I find that I have the problem you do when I use heat protectants on my hair. I'd rather use a lower setting and put something on afterwards.

P.S. It's been years since I've been here. So I have a dumb question... what is the comb chase method?

Thank you ladies for all the suggestions and advice. Today I got the FHI heat platform tourmaline ceramic professional hair styling iron at jcp for 100 on sale. Hopefully this iron will help my flat irons cone out the way I want
