What is this actually doing to people's porosity? I feel like all the reviews I read are just talking about how it made the hair feel...But is the product actually fixing the porosity. Especially hi po ladies. Cuz if it's not I'm just gonna continue using my regular porosity products

Well I don't think it's supposed to fix porosity. It just contains proteins that high and normal po hair would benefit from and ACV to help smooth cuticles.
It's not a porosity fixer lol...my hair loves the ingredients and it's definitely not high porosity. It's a marketing ploy.
Nothing fixes porosity but to stop the practice, for example, grow out your color or stop using heat excessively, which both can contribute to high porosity.

Ladies is Shea Moisture really worth the price? I want to buy a couple of things but its expensive compared to other products out there. Is it worth trying?

Maybe this will make you "strong." The hi-po line has a vinegary smell. :(

I agree with everyone else about the astringent/vinegar scent. It quickly fades to a citrus-floral scent. To me it smells like Thayer's lemon witch hazel+ Ouidad's Salon Series Mongongo Oil hair mist.

Any low po users with reviews?

@Chocoluxe I'm a low-po 4b natural. I bought the finishing elixir, styling gel and masque.

I've used the finishing elixir on my roller set today. It's very light weight; lighter than their dry oil mists.

I hope this set helps to seal out Florida's infamous humidity.

Im sitting in my office with really cool air and my hair still feels touchable and supple. I've used the low porosity leave in conditioner for the last week.

After washing and to refresh once this week. I'm getting several bottles as this will be my go to leave in. I like a leave in conditioner that I can use on naked hair without having to seal or add something else on top. Good stuff!

I tried the high po masque today and it is absolutely amazing. I normally dont have good results with SM products and almost gave up on them....but my daughter's hair loves SM so i find myself always checking out their lineup. Glad i did because that masque is a winner.

I'm trying the hi pic mask later today! I've heard nothing but great things about it!

My apologies if this is not new and/or has already been discussed.

Has anyone tried the Shea Moisture high porosity line? I see that Target is now carrying both a high porosity and a low porosity line.
I tried the hi-po Co wash last week and didn't really like it. It left my hair feeling coated and not soft and clean. I am on the fence as to whether I will try it again.

Eta: shea moisture shampoos and conditioners tend not to agree with my hair anyway, so I am not suprised.

I just started using this line (Hi P0) and I am in love. I didnt like the shampoo though. My hair felt stripped. I love the cowash, the dc, and the gel. I just need to learn how to not go so overboard with the gel, though it says light my hair felt crunchy once it dried.

I dont usally like SM but this line is a holy grail for me. Time to stock up!

ETA: I just cowashed, dc, and used the gel sparingly (quarter size on each 4 sections) OMG my mom thought my hair was still wet because of the shine. Nope shine, softness, and body. Yall I am about to close Target down tomorrow!
