Umm Did Anybody Notice That Shea Mousture Is At Dollar General?

They could be doing a custom deal with dollar tree. If the product is smaller then they cut costs from their packaging to make it within the price point dollar tree wants. I would compare the ingredients to the full size and see if anything is different.

I like that Shea moisture is everywhere. And I'm that big of a fan. The only thing I worry about is expanding too much to the point where they have to start changing ingredients or cutting lines that people love. And we all know how that goes

To me, mainstream just means easily accessible. Shea Moisture is readily available on the ground and catering to all hair types, just like Garnier, Loreal, etc. That may equate to cheaper ingredients, but remember our DIY peeps come up with great concoctions using simple cheap ingredients. It's all about formulation.

And we all know, dealing with as many small handmade hair care lines that due to an ingredient not being available, cost cut, or just for the hell of it, that a reformulation is always a possibility. You don't have to go mainstream for that to happen.

I support both though.

I read about this from them about a month ago (?). It's another thing with their BTW campaign but not really inclusive to it. The issue is that not everyone can get to a Target or Ulta and other places but there seems to always be Dollar Tree around, depending on where you live. There should be very limited items in smaller sizes so that customers who shop here can find SM at an affordable price in comparison to quantity so that people who cant get to Target, Ulta and the like don't feel cheated.

They've been doing this a lot though. HP and LP can only be found in Target. SI can only be found in Ulta. The Weightless one I've only ever seen in small quantities, especially the masque in the "beauty" section at Duane Reade or Target and I'm going to stop there.

They "promise" they aren't compromising quality. They not stupid. They put out enough, exclusive wherever, so that you always know where to go.

That's what I thought. If they keep producing new products like they are now they're going to turn into Starbucks before long. Then we'll be seeing them at Dollar Tree.:look:

Exactly. Over saturate the market. Mass Produce.

Pretty soon they'll be as common as VO5, Herbal Instincts, Suave, Garnier etc....sure there will be 'some quality' lines under their umbrella, but then some will be just plain garbage (just like with the others).

After that, 'Shatter the Aisle" Campaign, I think the stock-holders are calling most of the shots.

:lachen:

That entire campaign is basura. The picture they use to represent the campaign tells you the entire message, regardless to what their selling. Straight Tom Foolery.
