Has anyone heard of an itchy scalp meaning rapid hair growth???

Since I've been taking much better care of my hair and consistently taking my vitamins, I've realized my scalp has started to itch a whole lot more....
I've never suffered from dry scalp nor dandruff.... When I use to take Nature Bounty's Hair Skin and Nails, I realized my scalp was itching a lot after about a month of taking them so I stopped thinking it was allergic reaction....
But, I take my regular Womens One A Day now, drink vegetable and Fruit drinks everyday and just simply taking so much better care of my hair and body, my nails are practically unbreakable now but, now my scalp is itching AGAIN!!

I did some research, some people said, yay and some nay.... I figured I'd just ask you ladies and see what's your view on that...

HA...I considered this about a month ago. The info I found was to the contrary, and I don't remember experiencing an itchy scalp when I had my growth spurt last Fall.

That being said, every scalp and experience is different. Rachaelcprhair (youtube, instagram) did a video on the inversion method. She said she wouldn't do it again because she could feel her hair growing and she didn't like the sensation.

Hmm. Thanks. I will check her out... I've never had the patience for the inversion method, but I do it when I wake up because that's when my scalp itches or tingles the most... Doing the inversion method seems to help the itching going away for a few hours...

Sometimes my scalp gets really itchy and sore even though I haven't been abusing it and during those times is when I experience more growth. I don't know, maybe it's all in my head but I feel like the 2 are connected.

Thanks for your response. I feel like they are connected in some way as well. I've done so much googling on that topic, it's crazy, lol.

Yes itchy scalp on a clean moisturized head is a sign of fast growth.
When I first started MegaTek my scalp itched like the devil was plotting my demise.
This went on for a little under two weeks, then I did a length check and it turns out my scalp shot out 1 1/2 inch of new growth.

Now I recognize the signs when I take my vitamins, along with daily exercise, scalp massages and frequent co-washes.
Again I am noticing my hair getting longer.

Keep in mind this is spring/summer when everything grows.
So ladies take advantage of it before winter comes.

Im not sure how many inches my hair grows a month without me taking care of it, but I know it grows pretty fast... I'm almost positive it's more than a half inch a month... I usually measure it by where it's at, at the back.... I have a thread called "my journey starts today" and I'm going to be length checking my hair monthly. So, I guess I'll see by end of July lol.

I believe it. But there is a difference between an "growth" itch and an irritation itch. For me, my growth itch feels like a strong tingle. I usually get that itch when I take chorella, workout or eat well.

Old folks use to say it to me.

I think what really occurred was i was stimulating my scalp by scritching because it itched but it itched because i was washing it enough

Certain oils make my scalp itch (castor, evoo and sometimes coconut oil). I also get an itchy scalp when it's time to wash my hair. I think the scratching is what causes extra growth...

The chemicals in the shampoo or conditioner may be irritating your scalp.

Test a little on the back of your hand to see if your skin turns red. If not, perhaps it is just hair growth.

God Speed!

Doubt it. I shampoo my hair today, my scalp itches tmrw.
