Yes I am wigging it for the rest of the year. I've been doing my own hair while transitioning but I'm tired and need a break. Plus I love the fact that Im not manipulating my hair any more.

Oh this Fiyah!!! I likes! Now you and Mturner got me itchin to get wiggin. THis is too cute! IDK if I would be able to get one that fits so closely to my head cause I got a lot of hair and my head big:ohwell: . You got a cute little head, I can't say the same for myself:lol: but I was thinking about getting the Rihanna/Posh Spice cut with a sew in but now I'm thinking about just wigging it up! I haven't seen the style in the beauty shops though, how can I get that style. Would I have to buy a wig and then go to a salon and have them style it according to my head and face shape?

WHERE DID YOU GET THIS FROM? Signed Woman addicted to Wigs!

You will probably more than likely NOT see this style anywhere because I have an eye for the shabby ones with potential. This wig I bought from the beauty supply store on a dummy head and it looked real ole ladyish. It was a plain ole lady jherri wig. But i knew if I bought her home with me and wet and gel her up and did a lil finga wave and customize to my head it would work out and I was pleasantly surprised to find that I was right. It is now my absolutely favorite wig. To mee it's obvious but I have had so many people ask me if I had a wave neouvou. tee-hee!

but yes - you can take yours in to a salon that's what I do with the pixie cut ones.

I've thought about wigs, but I've been wearing my bun everyday. I think this is something I can do as long as there are plenty of options.

I think I'm going to try wearing wigs for the summer. I've been in braids on and off since August so I want to try something different. Plus wearing wigs will allow me to moisturize my entire head more often. I've found one that I like on wowwigs.com (Rona) but I'm going to try the local BSS's to see if I can find one or two that I like. The set of braids I have now come out on June 7 or June 14 (8 weeks) - depending on how they look on June 7 (I have a function to attend on June 9). I'll wear my hair out for 2 weeks but then I want to have my wig(s) ready to go!

Any online wig sites that have some cute styles? I can't seem to find any. I remember years ago there was one called Katour wigs?

I went home to see my Daddy in New Jersey this past weekend, and he commented that my hair looked so pretty. My father is very difficult person to impress. Even when I think I look my best, he doesn't really say too much. But the fact that he complimented on my hair WHILE it was in a bun means a lot to me. His other friends complimented my hair, too, calling it very pretty. I was happy. So, as difficult as it may be and tempting to wear it down, I will continue to wear my buns throughout the summer at least. Yes, I occasionally get the "why-do-you-always-wear-your-hair-up" comments, but my hair is thanking me for it. It's getting fuller if not thicker and my ends no longer look thin, dull and lifeless...;)

Yep. Washed, conditioned, baggied and wearing a phony pony as I speak. I regret that I'll have to "do something with it" in mid-September because I'm in my brother's wedding. After that, it's back to the baggy-under-the-phony pony until December. If I have the willpower not to flat-iron it, I will keep going until June of next year. I've worn my hair flat-ironed for nearly a month (with frequent retouches) and my hair was split-end city. I recognized splits from that split-end identification chart that's been circulating on this site and I said, "Forget it." I don't care how homely I look with this fake ponytail. The end result will be worth it.

I am weaving it for the rest of the year. I just got my weave done on Sunday, so I will continue to use BT once a day, condition wash twice a week, and just let my hair underneath do it's own thing. My signature picture is my new weave. I am using 14" Indian Remy hair from Halley's Curls.

I wearing Protective styles until I reach BRA STRAP length!

Same here :yep: Protective styles till BSL. Ive actually grown to like protective styles over the last few months. Its not bad like I imagined it to be, plus with it being as hot as it is here (102-105 degrees), I dont even have the desire to wear it down.
