@HairPleezeGrow , my heart goes out to you and your family and I offer you my deepest condolences.
I have so much empathy for your pain. A little while ago, the lady who saved my life, was my best friend/big sister/momma/everything, also died and I had thought about reaching out for help and support here, but I did not. I'm glad you did and I'm glad to see that so many people truly care.

Hey Hun, yeah I had been MIA for a while. Was dealing with my hip issues and the couldn't figure out what was wrong and finally had to have hip surgery. Thank you

And thank you for reminding me that yes, we are sisters and that this bond of desiring to learn to love our hair has created in us, a love that far extends hair!

I am so very sorry for your loss @HairPleezeGrow . My grandmother passed away earlier this year and is was a deep hurt like nothing I've ever experienced. Even though we knew her time had come it didn't make it any easier. I can tell you in truth though that my heart and soul were not eased until I decided to just talk to her spirit one day alone...out loud and yes, I do believe she was there, heard every word, and laughed with me when I spoke of memories from our summers together. She's still with me and all of us that love her so very much.
Trust that your grandma is still with you, in your heart. Take comfort in knowing that her spirit is watching over you. It's not the same but I hope that one day soon you're able to smile because you know she's with you. She'll always be there, believe that.

Thank you so very much and I'm so sorry for your loss as well hun. I take comfort in y'all words and thank you. It's very hard bc I lost my mommy almost three years ago as well so I'm just all over the place. I'll get it together though for sure and do the mourning I need to do and I know I can always call on mommy or grandma (and you ladies for that matter) and someone will always be there.
