How many cornrows did you do. Also what type of hair did you use.

I wanted to do the microbraids, the straight ones (but I cant seem to find them except for one place online and I'm scared to buy from them.)

Wow - I normally only do the protective styling when its cold outside. I want to wash my hair more and play with different styles when its warm so I'll just stalk your thread! Let us/me know if you have a fall or winter challenge.

I did between 12 and 15 cornrows, and i used freetress carol curl bulk. I ordered from gmbshair.com, and they have the microbraids.

O_O *hugs* How was their service. I wanted to order this. But I'm afraid on how it might look. GMBS hair is like the only place in existence that sells microbraid crochet hair.

But I don't know how this hair looks

Not sure of which one to choose.

:3 Finally got the hair. I am surprised. I got like 10 packs of the Micros. And I'm getting my hair done on Sunday. They look so tiny and flat.

Should I soak/rinse the hair in water or ACV. Just to make sure they're clean. I'm hoping this doesnt irritate my scalp

Cool, I'm in! I'm going to do the crochet braids either today or tomorrow and hope to keep them in for two months at a time.

I'm new to this but I want to join I've had my curly micro crochets in for almost a month and I plan on keeping them in for three months or more if I can maintain them. I've been getting my hair done like this since high school I highly reccomend this as a protective style. Crochet micro braids or very versatile and easy to manage. Love this challenge.

This seems like a cool challenge but I have no length check picture. Plus I already have my braids in which will be removed at the end of August.

Thanks for bumping this thread...I have been thinking about crochet braids as a PS and have been looking for something that looks more natural. My husband is not a fan of weaves/wigs etc...but I think he might go for this since my normal styling include twist/braid outs.

Thanks for bumping. I really want to learn how to do this.

It's really simple Faith. As long as you can canerow or flat twist (and we know you have skills there), you should be fine. You can even add the hair with a hairpin if you don't have a latch hook/ crochet hook.

I agree, and I am as challenged as they come, cornrows do not have to have perfect partings either.

Hey. I did put crochet braids in for September but I'm not sure if I would keep them in for long. Hoping to but not sure. I think i'm having a mild reaction to the hair. This is a picture of it and the braid pattern. I followed a video by Beautycanbraid.
