The bond that links your true family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each other's life.

— Richard Bach

I've been going about this in my mind for several days now. Looking for the right words to convey what we are feeling. Honestly, this is the hardest email I've ever had to compose.

Recently, we found out that, Jennifer, (one of Komaza Hair Care owners) was diagnosed with stage IV secondary breast cancer (bone metastases). The news has shaken things up (to say the least) and refocused our attention.

So this year we will not be having a Black Friday Sale. We are just going to relax and spend quality time with our friends and family.

The online store will still be open and we will still ship out your packages but have decided to take a break from the crazy huslte during a sale.

Jennifer will be taken time away as this is a new journey for her to focus on her health. She is getting stronger day by day and has unwavering faith that she will win this fight.

I won't pretend that it's not scary because no one comes out of a fight the same as they went in. The opponent (cancer) looks big but our Father is bigger so we know she is the victor.

We thank you for understanding, your prayers and support.

Sincerely,

Rene

I'm so very sorry to hear this. Jenn is a sweetheart and I love talking to her. She's very helpful and she's not one to push her products on you. I think she truly has people's hair health in her heart and not necessarily making money. I really hopes she pulls through this and makes a full recovery.

I saw this email too. I like getting their emails although I haven't purchased from them since moving overseas. Jenn was super sweet and so thorough in our hair analysis call. I'll never forget how there was a bit of confusion on some information they gave me (which was incorrect due to a slight oversight) and Jenn was so sweet in admitting fault and bothering to email me to let me know. She really didn't have to do any of that.

Will pray for her.

I got it too. Wishing her all the best and hope she beats this. She is such a sweet woman. I'll never forget my first analysis with her where she didn't have enough hair to do a complete analysis but gave me tips from the photos anyway and then sent me a huge box of free samples.

I wish Jenn and the Komaza Team all the Best. It saddens me because many of our Handmade/Naturals Sisters seem to fall ill.

It's so uncanny the amount of Women that produce products that have suffered from some type of sickness.

When we find out these things, I hope we remember to keep them all in our prayers.

I am sorry to hear about this. Is her full name Jennifer Taubodo? If so, it appears she was diagnosed with Ductal Carcinoma breast cancer in 2010, and got treatment. Now it looks like its return, but even more aggressively if it has spread to the bones.

Totally off topic but I also didn't know Jennifer was Caucasian. Wishing her a speedy recovery!
