Ladies, What Are Your Thoughts About Wen Hair Care Products As Of Lately?

Hey ladies, I still thought about trying some of Wen products (40% to 50% chance trying it). I heard a lot of good reviews in the past about how healthy, clean, and moisture their hair is. They noticed an improvement in their hair overall, but lately I have been hearing it makes people hair fall out. However, I don't trust the negative (or positive) reviews about his products on Amazon from the people that purchase it directly from Amazon or just write on their (or eBay; I can be honest though in say I wrote positive reviews in the past on Amazon, but never purchased from the seller. Now, I regret writing those reviews, because it was only to review the items), because lately I personally know that buying from Amazon means you are buying third party. Usually, companies state that Amazon products are not the real thing or expired products. A lot of hair companies have made this claim about Amazon and "some" (not all) one star reviews make this claim that the product is fake too.

My question goes out to the people that buy Wen from his site, QVC or places like Sephora. Has Wen made your hair fall out or you haven't noticed a big difference in your hair? Has it improve your hair in the long run or change your for the worst?

I would recommend buying wen from QVC. There are two formulas out there, the Guthy Renker formula and the formula Chaz uses in his salon. Infomercials and I think Sephora sell the Guthy Renker one, and QVC and Chaz's website sell in my opinion the better formula. He calls the seasonal's "treatment based" because they are heavier. I used to wash with any seasonal for the first wash and 613 for the second wash.

My hair has never fallen out because of wen. I got super defined curls that were a breeze to detangle, with all that said I no longer use it because I stopped doing WNG. My mother and grandma still love using it.

I ordered my Wen directly from theWen site with Chaz. Its my favorite products to be honest. I haor became extremely manageable and soft. In now at MBL and have no fall out. I have natural 3b-4b hair...with extremely fine strands... Its a great product, just very expensive.

I love WEN! I cowash with it once a week. It's done nothing but make my hair better, bouncier, and fuller.

But, I clarify and shampoo weekly as well.

ETA: I only order it from QVC. I wouldn't recommend buying it from random people on eBay or Amazon.

Wen set me back a bit. Initially, it was great my hair was soft and shiny. Then it turned on me my hair became dry and my ends were prone to tangles and knots.

I would recommend QVC because once I figure out it was not working well they let me return the product. So in the event it is not for you, you will not have to eat the cost.

Also an interesting alternative is Josh Rosebrook

I purchased a box from a coworker (this Fall) who has an Auto-ship from Q-V-C.

I got a 32oz Pomegranate which came with a 16oz Whi.te Pumpkin, a Pomegranate Oil and maybe a Leave-In? I think there were x4 products?

She sold the box to me for $25 because the Auto-ships comes fast and she doesn't want to cancel them or change the terms.

I haven't opened it or tried it yet but I will.....soon.

I've been a Wen user since 2008 and I still use it. Wen did nothing but make my hair better and it was a life saver on softening and moisturizing my hair when I decided to transition. It made managing the texture differences a breeze. I use the Wen 613 it's basically the only one I use. I co-wash my hair mostly and shampoo scalp only 1-2 times per month. Even for those sessions I use Wen or another conditioner on the length. To be honest I believe Wen is the reason my hair didn't fall off my head completely when I was going to a dominican salon weekly for flatironing. I order mine from QVC only.

I've only ever bought WEN from QVC and will probably only buy from there ever. I never had a problem with my hair falling out because i knew better that a cream cleansing conditioner wasn't supposed to take the place of an actual clarifying shampoo. I never used Wen on my scalp. It was just another conditioner to me.

All natural!
I bought from Chaz dean website. For a while it was great, then I began using it as directed and noticed excess shedding. I did not make the connection until I saw a Facebook post about it, about the complaints. I only used it as directed for 2-3 months. I stopped and the shedding stopped.

Because of this I will probably never subscribe to the cowash ideology again. When I mean shedding...I mean long pretty hairs just sliding out while I shampooed...in mini clumps. I thought it was just hormones or because I was transitioning.

Now I've got product left I'm scared to use that frankly, I LIKED it. Smells good and deranged. Also I resumed my typical practice of clarifying each week, scalp is happy, hair has recovered. Oh and I'm adding myself to the lawsuit for a measles $25 settlement.

The "Set" I bought, I'll use it, but I'm not sure I'll become a "WEN-Gurl" or anything like that?:look:

I like too many other products to make this my sole product.:look:

I'll use it strictly for cleansing, but doubtful if I'll use it for DC'ing, L-I etc.....that also might be where some folks ran into trouble?

Replacing all their other products with just this one thing? Since it 'touts' it can replace 5 products.

But I'll give this set a whirl and re-evaluate.:drunk:

I bought my WEN Gallon from QVC.com
I use WEN Pomegranate
I have been using cleansing conditioners since 2008, WEN about 2009 and I love it.
I still use WEN when I wash my hair. I recently started implementing Shea Moisture in my ritual. I can tell you one thing, it is easier to lean to the overly moisturized side if you do not use protein treatments in your hair. I also had some hair loss from FIG. Once i switched to Pomegranate I had absolutely no issues, other than moisturized hair. I love WEN and will be a customer for life, but I also don't purchase it in abundance like i used too. I buy one gallon and that is all I need for the year.

I had auto ship for a while and so, while I haven't purchased it in two years, I still have maybe three unopened bottles.

Me, my mom, and SO's mom used it for years with no trouble. I advised them both to shampoo and use protein regularly. I only stopped buying it because I'm transitioning to all black product lines.
