Hi ladies:

I'm in the market for a new flat iron. Would ya'll please share your thoughts regarding the best flat iron to buy?

TIA
Ann

Third vote for FHI Platform. I've tried many irons and this is just the best. It somehow doesn't make the hair too flat and straightens beautifully even at a relatively low temp.
I strayed from FHI last year ( to Rowenta, Chi, and Sedu) and went right back . I had to actually buy a new one because I sold my old one. I should get a spare. Nothing performs like the FHI.

I bought an inexpensive flat iron at Marshalls recently and was pleasantly surprised. It's better than the $100 Babyliss I bought at Ulta. It's an Absolute Heat Pro Ion Digital Flat Iron. I believe it was $25.99.

Please be careful the coating on mine peeled off in less than 6 months. The absolute was a great iron until it wasn't.

Hi ladies:

I purchased the FHI Platform flat iron today based on your feedback! I will let ya'll know how I like it.

Thanks!
Ann
Just stop . FHI wins. I had the Sedu Revolution last year and I returned it. It was good but I felt as if it just didn't give me the body FHI does. I'm not a fan of the super duper flat look on me.
Just get an FHI and be done with it. I don't think you'll regret it.
Okay I am about to buy it but I see they have two sizes.
I like the 1.75 inch but I also want to curl my ends or make spirals, which the 1 inch is better for.
Which one do you guys have?:look:

Oh and what kind of heat protectant should I get?

I use the 1 inch. I'd go for the 1... I feel as if it may get the roots better than a bigger one and also more versatile styling wise.
I dont really use heat protectant so I can rec any . I don't believe in heat protectants :look:.
Oh, goody just found a 1.25 inch size. Perhaps this is my happy medium??
I wonder how many more sizes they have?

I haven't tried a FHI but the Sedu works really well on my 4 a/b natural hair. My avatar is after flat ironing with the Sedu.

Oops. I just realized you already bought the FHI.

Oh never mind. I see you answered right here earlier. Sorry I missed this before.

I'm really eyeing this iron by FHI. I have it in my wish list because I have to save for this one. It's $154.99 :eek2:
