Stylist Cuts 9 Inches Off A Youtuber's Waistlength Hair...

YvetteWithJoy

On break
Girl get the word out to anyone that will listen because he doesn't need to be jacking up anymore beautiful natural hair with these monstrocities he calls a hair cut. We have to put in too much work for it to all go to waste like that.

The amount of TIME and MONEY and RESEARCH and LEARNING she had to have INVESTED in her hair! Just to be hacked off because YOU decide your you're into hacking hair?!?? What the . . . :meditate:

Oh no!!!! *clutches invisible pearls and faints* Not Jewellianna!! I had just recently came across her channel this year. Her hair is really beautiful and she seems so sweet!

Her hair is beautiful. I don't get why she allowed it. She could have just trimmed it herself.
Lesson learned now.

I think she should have just done it herself. Especially since she has done videos of her trimming her own hair in twists. Would have been a better outcome for sure, but maybe she just wanted to give him a chance. Next time she will be more cautious for sure or keep doing it herself.

Interesting :spinning:
maybe it was done out of spite

Now I wonder who the hair guru/fiance is. That's probably what it was! Especially if J. was seen as "competition." Now I understand why people have insurance on their hair, nails, etc. if those things are profitable/way for them to make money.

This is why I always do my own hair...

I also feel like she should've known better. I would never let someone cut my hair in its curly state. It has to be heat straightened or the cut is bound to be uneven! Just don't do it.

Someone on another hair board years ago said if a stylist doesn't know how to cut curly hair unstretched, they need to step their game up. :look:

I've seen enough horror stories of people posting their bad experiences at salons when stylists have butchered their hair. It seems like the big take away is to either learn how to trim yourself or go with it straightened.

Now I see why a lot of you ladies say you watch the person cutting your hair like a hawk and even carry a mirror with you to monitor what they're doing at all times.

Looks like he wants to get that youtube/natural hair community money.

If there is any question remaining about his character then have a look for yourself.

It says the video is private. SMH...he did this on purpose. It doesn't sound like she is going to take any legal action or file complaints or put him on blast. But he can't get away with this either!

Here is her IG https://www.instagram.com/beautybylee/?hl=en

Her hair is a lot shorter. She's cute though so I find it really hard to believe that he done it out of spite. Maybe I'm being too nice lol.

I can understand not wanting to straighten but I feel like once you are at a certain length using low heat to stretch it isn't gonna ruin your hair. Especially if you are maintaining. I feel like some people are too caught up with natural hair stigmas.

My hair isn't well defined in a lot of areas so I couldn't imagine someone just grabbing chunks and snipping at the end lol. If I get my hair to BSL and longer I will only be using the search and destroy throughout my whole head. I've been to places where I've had my hair horribly cut and badly relaxed. It's not worth it.

Oh goodness BeautybyLee put up a post about this. She's getting physical threats. I don't think she has anything to do with it though. Her man just has issues. How did people even find out it was him that cut it though? Jewellianna didn't say so its just speculation?

ETA I see its confirmed it was him now. Still how in the world did people find out lol

I'll just go 'head and say it: ain't no way a white man (or woman) touching my hair.

Nope. NOPE. NOPE.

Give me an Anthony Dickey any day over a Devachan cut. At least Dickey has the sense to straighten before he gets scissor-happy.

No offense to the sister that got her hair butchered, but she should have known better!

Her comments responding to people confirms it's him.

I can't believe people are caping for him in the comments:nono:

:barf: He really thinks he has a leg up in a black woman's world because he's a white man.
He needs to be put firmly in his place.
I don't think he is straight either fiance or not. He's got to be into men too.
Girl he took a pic in the bathtub with the come hither eyes a while back....I was like naw this piece of work likes a manual transmission too. Not just the automatic :abducted::look:

It's obvious. I knew it the moment I saw the vid. He's a popular WM stylist. She lives in DMV he's in NYC...not a stretch

Now I don't agree with death threats but beautybylee is doing too much.

YOUR MAN reached out to this girl multiple times and then proceeded to mess her hair up.

Based on other post it appears he has done this with other women.

Attempting to deflect by claiming there's no jealousy because she's not on your level? Really?

In fact it appears he's deliberately reaching out to smaller youtubers who don't have your reach and little chance to blow him up after he messes up which actually makes you look worse.

Once upon a time, you was that smaller youtuber and if you don't get your man in check your numbers can drop right back to where you started.

That's her family though so I hope everyone that's following her remembers all your skinfolk ain't your kinfolk.

If I didn't already unfollow her boring self I'd unfollow just on that response.

Well this really blew up on IG! Vincengo or whatever his name is put up an apology. People are saying Jewelliana is ruining he's career and it's just hair. But omg he butchered it though!

She didn't do anything. She didn't even say his name. People in the comments figured it out because of what he had on and the look of the salon

Going back to my other point, this is definitely some shady business. Beautybylee implying she "doesn't know her" sounds sketchy. Of course you don't personally but to pretend Jewe's videos don't pop up in recommendations if you watch any curly hair videos is a bold face lie lmao trying to play her like she's nobody

It's not just hair. I wish stylist would realize that hair length represents lots of time and hard work. He just cut off two years of work just like that for no reason. He should be ashamed.

Yes, that whole "we work two different YouTube worlds." Also, "I just learned who she was two days ago."
she knows exactly who Jew is:rolleyes:Come the F on now. I'm not a huge follower of curly gurus I started following Jewe before she blew up and had like 500 followers. However I don't follow Nap85, Mahoghany, lipsticksncurls, glamtwinz etc. no rhyme or reason but I just don't.

but for me to say I don't know who they are? :lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen: Girl bye. Glad I don't follow her simple behind either.

She was in LA a few times I'm wondering why she didn't hit up Shaimiel for a shape up instead?

Prob because his price range is a bit steep.... $225 I believe ( and this was 2 years ago) BUT it was worth the $20 a month I saved up for a year:lachen:.
He REALLY looks like he knows his stuff! Like he has magic hands lol. How does he manage to repair/style/cut damaged hair? I've seen a few pics where the person had damaged hair in the before pic and in the after pic it was curly.
