Great thread!

I'm just copying and pasting the list I shared with you, @Allandra.
  • HairPrint Chelating Shampoo (I think it's all natural; it's plant-based, very gentle, and leaves my hair springy and light and clean and moisturized and not stripped)
  • Naturalicious clay wash (I think it's all natural)
  • Soultanicals Soulvedic Strands Poo Bar (contains ayurvedic ingredients; leaves a small film; Soultanicals will restock she says; available at Hattache as of today)
  • Camille Rose Naturals Coconut Water Deep Penetrating Hair Treatment
  • Camille Rose Naturals Curl Maker (gel)
  • Soultanicals Total Recoil Butter
  • Soultanicals Fro Despair Hair Repair Mega DC
  • KomazaCare Protein Hair Strengthener (I think it's all natural)
  • CurlyProverbz DIY Ayurvedic Hair Growth Oil (see YouTube or the LHCF thread entitled something like "What do you think about this hair growth oil?")

I'm currently enjoying these products:

-Organic Coconut Oil (best moisturizer ever for my hair)

-Dr Bronner's Pure Castile Liquid Soap (in baby unscented - I always dilute this - a little goes a very long way).

-Kinky - Curly
- Come Clean Shampoo
- Knot Today (I use this for light conditioning. I don't like using it as a leave in.)
- Curling Custard

-Giovanni
- Wellness System with Chinese Botanicals Conditioner
- Smooth as Silk Deeper Moisture Conditioner

-E'Tae
-Carmel Deep Reconstructing Pre-Shampoo Treatment
-I had the shampoo, conditioner and the buttershine moisturizer (gave them to my niece since I wasn't using them). I like only having and using a few products.

I only wear my hair curly. I do not apply any heat, so not sure if I'll ever blow dry / flatiron again. Maybe... Maybe not... I shall see.

I don't have a ton but I use

1. Trader Joe's shampoo
2. Alba Botanica Hawaiian Conditioners...specifically the gardenia & coconut milk. I also use the conditioners as a leave in if I'm feeling lazy & bunning.
3. Eden bodyworks coconut shea curling cream
4. Homemade pomade for braidouts

My pjism has diminished over time lol.

What is that APB icing, and how do you use it? From the site it's a sealant??? Can you twist with it? What do you like about it? What is the smell and consistency like? TIA!

How do you make your own pomade?

It's pretty easy!

All measurements by weight
*1/2 oz carnauba OR 1 oz beeswax (carnauba is a pain in the butt..i am going to try the beeswax for my next batch or see if I can use another wax)
*1 1/2 oz butters (I use shea & avocado or mango)
*2 oz oil (the original recipe called for jojoba but i use grapeseed & evoo)
*few drops of essential oil of your choice (optional)

I melt the wax first then add my butters and heat for at least 20 min in a double boiler (this is important if you use shea butter) then add the oil right before you remove from heat. Pour the mix into a container to cool and stir it a couple of times while it cools.

It works pretty well for me & mine but we use shampoo so if you are a low/no-poo/clay washer, it may build up.

What is that APB icing? Kalahari Melon Marula Hair Icing. I received it in the Hair box.

From the site it's a sealant??? I use it as a sealant, creamy oil
Can you twist with it? Yes, I believe you can. The consistency is lighter than the Hair body butter
What do you like about it? It's a lightweight sealer for my fine strands What is the smell and consistency like? It smells like a slightly muted scent of a honeydew melonTIA!

I was in one of the local Target stores the other day. I was blown away by all of the natural hair product lines they carry. I took a sniff of some Camille Rose products, but the fragrance was much too strong for me. The few products that I currently have work so well for me. I may venture out and try a couple of Shea Moisture products that look as though will work well on my hair (Coconut & Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie and Coconut & Hibiscus Curling Gel Soufflé). I actually saw a sample like size of the Coconut & Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie (wish they had a sample size of the Coconut & Hibiscus Curling Gel Soufflé. I like having just a few products in hair product stash, and I want to keep it that way. :yep:

Thanks for mentioning Nutritive. The line looks pricey but amazing! I've added several products from the line to my Black Friday Wish List. Is this line sold on the ground anywhere? TIA.

Love Just Nutritive!! I've only seen it sold online. Every three months they email a 20% off. That's the only time I make a purchase unless my husband buys it for me.
