Pain From Sew-in 3 Weeks In -help

So I received my first ever sew-in about a month ago. I come from having about 6 inches of spanish hair on the top of my head only (I have my sides shaven), so the sew-in was only installed on the top of my head which I wanted. Mind you that before this, I've had my hair pretty untouched for about three years (no heat manipulation or relaxers, I only washed and brushed it). The first two weeks were painless, didn't itch at all, absolutely no discomfort. Well approaching the 3 week mark- I'm having this dull but annoying headache (which gets worse and throbs throughout the day). It feels like it originates from the center of my scalp. Mind you in the past if I even changed the part in my hair- it would hurt, so I guess I have a sensitive scalp. It's been about 8 days since I've had this headache. I called the women and she said my scalp isn't used to it and it might be my new growth that's making me feel uncomfortable. She offered to tighten the tracks. It didnt do anything. Does this sound right? Does anybody have any remedies as I'm trying to make it last at least another month but I'm going crazy. She also installed a net between my real hair in the new hair.. does that have anything to do with it?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Sorry if I sound like a newbie (I am).

So you're saying that it's not an adjustment period? Because had no pain the first three weeks?
No. It should be loose and not cause stress. Your hair is pulling. I wouldn't retighten, I would take it out and access what is going on.

Sew-ins are suppose to last 4-6 weeks. So it just may be your time to remove it. You may have a lot of new growth.

But a headache is your body's way of saying something is wrong. Please remove asap.

Would it be the worst thing if I had to wait about four days to take it out?

I am not understanding your hesitancy to take it out. It's causing you pain. The longer you leave it in the chance of of severe damage increases (follicle damage, risk of traction alopecia etc). Take it out go to store get some conditioner and gel and keep it moving.
