Church Security

Do you know if your church has a security plan or protocol in place for (God-forbid) situations like this? Does your church have armed security?

I'd like to know everyone's thoughts about having armed security in churches.

Unfortunately armed security has become a necessary evil. It is costly though so it will probably not be provided around the clock. Someone wandered into our church last Friday evening (a woman), the janitor asked if he could assist her. She eventually told him that she was there to kill the Pastor

My church has a few officers on the security team. One is at the front and the other is closest to the pastor. I'm sure that there are others I may not know about. And there are several law enforcement officers that carry inside of the church. It's a shame when this even has to be discussed.
