Subbing. I want to see the update.

Sorry ladies it took me forever to post this.

This is how my second Gina curl looked. I apologize for taking so long to respond, but my Dad died 11 days after my appointment. It is now almost the end of December. Because of money issues, I couldn't get up to Connecticut for Gina to do my hair again in June 2016. I got a Wave by Design yesterday, but it has to be re-roded tomorrow. Please keep your fingers crossed for me that ALL my hair curls this time!!!

What's your retention like with this process OP?

My growth with the Gina Curl was AWESOME!! I should have waited because I had to get 4 inches of hair cut off when I got the Wave by Design on Tuesday. I am going in to get re-roded tomorrow because only part of my hair curled. I'm sad because I always loved how my hair looked with the Gina Curl. My situation since my Dad passed away has not been the same. I had to settle for WBD because I had so much new growth.

@healthyhair2,
I wanted to extend my condolences to you regarding the lose of your father. It's never easy. Thanking for letting us know how you are doing.

Your hair has grown so much. It looks nice. I love that reddish/brown color you have. It's so pretty. Congratulations on your length progress.

Thank you very much for your condolences. It's been a rough few years for me since Dad died. I haven't been able to get my hair done by Gina again and had to settle for a hairdresser down here. I'm still trying to figure out what I will do with my hair at this point.

You are welcome, dear. The sun didn't shine as brightly in my life and in my heart for a long time after my daddy died. But before you know it, you start to feel the rays of warmth in your heart like you used to, when your parent was here. And then you realize, that no matter what, as long as you are still taking a breath and alive in this world of shadows, your parent will ALWAYS be with you, and that they never really left. That is because, you are still here to remember and love them.

Your hair will work out. Perhaps you may want to examine the situation without trepidation or doubt. Look at it head on, and maybe the answer will be 'blinking', looking back at you.

@Chicoro I know you've seen some of my other posts, regarding the setbacks that I had with getting curls down here. I keep my hair the length in my avatar because of the breakage that has occurred since getting my hair done here. The last perm I had was December 13, 2017 at a salon. The curl pattern is VERY loose and not what I wanted. Honestly, for anyone who wants a perm that doesn't shed and keeps the hair healthy, I still recommend Gina. Now, I will either go natural, become a diy-er or save and go back to her.

I'm glad to see that you have your option clearly delineated. You've got a plan and that's half the battle! This is why I BELIEVE you are going to work it.
