TBH, I think good and bad is relative and really depends on what goal you're trying to achieve at any given moment. If people really wanted to be "true" to the whole good and bad thing, they'd probably be a non-soy consuming vegan who wouldn't eat most veggies (even "organic" ones) because they're most likely GMO.

I'm not familiar with ingredients as most of the ladies here. But upon waking up, I realized I meant "Parabens". I know it's relative that's why I listed it in quotations lol

Ope!!! I'm out, then. Breast cancer--I have to take special care to avoid it. As soon as my one bottle of Netwurks spray is used up, I'm back to being paraben-free.

Oh no Hunn. I was confusing panthenols with parabens. I don't think the product has parabens in it.

Then again, it's no telling if it does either.

How can a vendor sell products without an ingredient list? Isn't that illegal?

I use the Fixative conditioner(very moisturized hair for days), Strength 1000(heavy protein treatment). They also have a cowash conditioner that lathers called Power K77.

I don't believe it's illegal, but I understand people who have allergies or want to avoid certain ingredients may want to know what's in a product. I haven't had any problems with them though.

Thanks for the packaging info. At best, selling products without revealing their constituent parts is naive or misguided and, at worse, a health risk and/or fraud. If it's not illegal, it should be and the information contained in the link below leads me to believe that it may very well be. At any rate, I wouldn't feel comfortable using an anonymous product; no one should.

Welp! I've been using it for seven years and haven't had a problem. I know that some other Straight Request products have the products listed.

If one is that concerned, then call them and inquire about the ingredients. I'll continue to put my energy over my conditioner and know that it'll do what I need it to do for me.

I keep telling people. I've been relaxer-free for 21 years and this is the best deep conditioner I've ever used. And it's black-owned!

That is all that was listed. I've purchased this several times from distributors, stylists and black-owned BSS like Powell's Beauty.

I have made a huge discovery regarding technique and deep conditioning:

If I apply the DC to dry (not even damp hair) like a relaxer and smooth and press it into my strands (like you would with gel), then wear it for 45 minutes under heat . . . only then does any DC give me lasting moisture that remains after rinse-out.

Recently I discovered that using the SM Manuka Honey Masque or the Soultanicals Afrotastic DC this way yields incredible moisture for my hair. Silky, hydrated, moisturized hair. I'm shocked and elated. :smile:

This technique seems interesting. I am going to give it a try. Do you have low porosity hair ?

But no: I'm certain my hair used to be hipo. It now pretty much acts of medium/normal porosity.

My favorite dc is a mix of 3 conditioners...have been using it for the past 7 months and im hooked. I mix shea moisture manuka dc with tresemee moisture rich conditioner and Neutrogena triple moisture daily deep conditioner and sit under the dryer for 20-30 min. My hair craves moisture and my hair is soft and bouncy after this deep conditon..

It really helped turn my coils around a few years back. I was shedding heavily and a stylist recommended this. She did mostly relaxed heads but I would go to her to monthly for a wash, deep conditioning and cornrows under my wig. Helped my hair thicken up and go from BSL to within WL in a few months. I love their products and their sulfate-free shampoo is very good too.

Do you know if this product works for low porosity hair???

I colored my hair. I believed in was low porosity until I went red running from this Gray, white and silver Christmas tree tinsel looking hair. My porosity may have changed with this color. Just saying.
