Hair Confessions 2018

Are we supposed to not scratch our scalps when we wash? I feel that it helps the shampoo remove the dirt. Lol

I confess that probably 50% of my thinning is due to breakage in addition to the crazy shedding. I had a longstanding problem with the water heating system in my apartment and I was literally ripping through my hair every wash day so as to get the heck out of the shower because the water would turn cold all too soon. I am shocked to notice the difference in the way I treat my hair now that the problem is solved.

The girls above did not lie. Cold water makes you want to butcher someone and that someone could be your hair. I could not be bothered to finger detangle the knots or to take my time in combing. And I couldn't wait to find the needle to undo the knots so I would just rip them out and be done with it. It's crazy. I am so sad. I hate the way my hair looks now. It's thinner than another person's single twist.

You've got to do what suits you and my scalp.

Personally I don't scratch my scalp per se, I massage it with the pads of my fingers.

I looked at some old photos from the 60's and 70's just focusing on hair. My Auntie argues its products and water now because back in the day they didn't have heat damage while using a 500 degree hotcomb:lol: She said the naps would be back in a matter of hours even after using Dax and lard.

I was just talking to my cousin the other day about how we never used to suffer heat damage when we pressed our hair with a pressing comb on the stove (90s). Ok, so I'd occasionally burn off a chunk here and there but my hair always reverted come wash day, sometimes before:mad:.

Ok this is my last confession but a positive one; I love my gray hair:love4: . Even though I have 50-11 porosities, textures and hair types its beautiful. There are fleeting moments when I think about dying but :naughty:. I just need to do better in showing my hair love:kiss: . Back to lurk mode:curtain: :giggle:

Yes, they both were previously something else

I also have:
KBB when it was in the Black Jar:eek:
And probably some SSI and HV before they changed their Labels:abducted:

Me, too. Everything I have from those vendors says "Bask" and "Lace Naturals" on the labels. I also have three different types of labels on my SSI products; two on the Hairveda and Naturelle Grow. I still have PBN in the blue containers, and original formulations of the Silk Dreams and Blue Roze Beauty DCs. I even have discontinued APB, Sweet Nature by Eddie, SSI and Soultanicals DCs. The fact that I have stuff from yesteryear speaks volumes.

Me too.:cry3: That I am tryna' use very carefully (don't wanna give it up)

Also, probably some DB with a different Label. The one before she left and then the very 'generic' looking one.:(

I know! I could just cry. Last month, I pulled out a PBN Sapote and DB Cocoa Bean to use and I'm just luxuriating in their goody goodness. Believe it or not, but I have jars of that PBN Mask, too.
