Last night I pre-pooed with the sweet almond oil.

Tonight going to shampoo, DC, and LOC

Tomorrow - Install mini twists on my own hair. I'm going to use 2 different styling products to see which performs better for me. I'm thinking I may do mini braids and mini twists through the summer.

Contemplating Havana/Marley twists. Already bought the hair, but if I don’t use it my mom tends to put it to good use since her styles change bi-weekly.

I only say the word “contemplating”, because I’m teaching myself how to do anything else aside from braid and bun variations since that’s all I know. Granted I’ll probably have my mom help me.

If I get anything installed, I’ll usually do a complete soak in warm water, followed by a light protein treatment. Mielle Organics mint deep conditioner is my favorite even though the mint kicks me straight up in my nose every time I open the container. For the water I soak my hair in, I just add peppermint and rose water.

I need about a 2-3 month break from my hair. This year alone I’ve spent waaaaaaaaay too much money on hair accessories (hair forks, sticks, clips, parandii, etc.) Need to give everything a break and just have my hair protected so I can forget about it for a bit.

Instead of last week's plan of twisting and trimming, I got the brilliant idea to dye my hair and pierce my nose....
I used Textures n Tones Cherrywood. Why, oh why, did I have black hair with a halo of cherrywood. I had to run to the store to buy another bottle of Black dye and re-dye
I deep conditioned twice and I did not have a detangling session. I just left it alone

Midweek, I just co-washed and left conditioner in my hair with my headband.

I say all that to say, this weekend, I won't be doing anythng to my hair but watering it in the mornings and sealing it with my shea butter mix

The following weekend, I will resume my regular degular wash routine of wash, deep condition and seal. Maybe I'll detangle and twist then.

Wearing it in a braidout ponytail for the weekend; but on Monday, I plan to:

Wash with my Ayurvedic Shampoo Bar
Detangle with Live Clean Conditioner
Oil scalp with my Ayurvedic Herbal Oil
Curls Creme Brule to moisturize
Whipped Shea Butter to seal
Airdry in braids, and keep them in until the following weekend.

I had a weave installed last week, so my routine has changed.

Dilute Shampoo with water and peppermint oil
Mix Aphogee and Macadamia Nourishing DC, then steam that in.
Rinse my hair with Aloe juice, spray base down with S-Curl, and sit under the dryer.

How was this?
So far it looks good, but I have my DC on right now and will report back. I see it's darker than before I put it on but the white hairs on my temple area only looks like a very dark gray at the moment.

Seriously I will take it for what it's worth. So far, it worked better than the regular Adore and the Dudley's Natural Black. I used it with heat for 30 minutes by the way.

@Aggie
I have the Adore to try in Jet Black & Black Velvet (I think) and also that Henna Creme we discussed a while back.

Yes, please report back.
@IDareT'sHair

Okay I finally looked it through and through and I have to say that I am totally unimpressed....again! As I look closer, I realized that my gray hairs are still white after 30 minutes with heat.

Henna was wayyy better - at least henna stains my hair a copperish color, I got nothing from this semi-permanent coloring. My scalp is stained from it but not my hair. Back to the drawing board. I will try Dudley's Indigo Blue next and see how that works. :ohwell:

Last night wash day

Shampoo - Pureology Hydrate Shampoo
DC - Amika Soulfood Hair Mask (omg, so good)
Detangling conditioner - HEHH
L- OGx Sake Essence Rejuvenating Elixir
O - Shea Butter
C - Garnier Whole Blends Smoothing Leave - In Conditioner

Today

Did my mini twists and ended up using 3 different styling products. I'll have a full update on how things go tomorrow but my initial thought is that gel > curling cream for twists.

I am going to hendigo my hair tomorrow since my semi permanent color did nothing for my gray strands. I'm off so after church it's on. I already mixed my henna and won't put it on until after church in the morning.

I also want to mix a marshmallow and slippery elm tea rinse to use as my final rinse after washing out the henna. I won't be adding any oil to it because it will cancel out the hendigo color deposit.

Doing an overnight prepoo in braids with KBB cream sealed in argan oil. I usually don't do any of this multi-step wash day nonsense but my hair is dry as the sahara after dying it. Who would've thought permanent dye would be drying. Like I didn't big chop in the past from dying my hair a billion times.:whyme:

Another thing I will be doing tomorrow is straining my coffee, burdock root and fenugreek seed oil. That thing has been brewing for at least 3 weeks or more. I'm excited about this one a lot so I hope it doesn't disappoint me.
