Man Weave Units... Somebody Come Look At This.

Not surprised. Men are just as vain about their hair as women, especially the ones going bald. Imma about to make this my side hustle...

And given how I've seen some black men breakdown over a botched lineup or a wave not properly brushed, I can certainly see the market opportunity

I was thinking of doing the same. I hate doing hair but this is quick and easy. A guy on IG charges $175 and the units cost about $40-$100.

I mean, a lot of women can’t be mad. This is a glimpse into how men feel when they think a woman has long flown hair and it gets revealed to be frizzy cornrows underneath

I'm definitely not mad and if my husband/bf wanted one especially if he feels the ego boost would help him go slay more dragons for us then I wouldnt be mad. I dont want kids so I'm not worried about having a son that sadly starts balding in high school. :lachen:

Is the glue a skin friendly combination of something akin to gorilla and flex seal thereby making it water proof/sweat resistant? It's a very importantly question. These glorified toupees need to be vigorous activity friendly. Even the most adventurous of us don't want our bedroom to became a CSI episode complete with crime scene tape. Imho nobody has time to mount a search and rescue, create a detailed timeline to pin point the exact moment when lil weavie disappeared.

“Finally”.

That’s more or less what I was thinking after seeing that. I’m all for the slay. BUT. As a side effect of this, I expect a lot more men, and women for that fact, to chill on trying to rag on each other for having installs done.

Personally I’m not much of a weave person, but anyone who’s layed and slayed an install or a piece gets cudos form me. Man or woman.

This whole comment made me LOL. Has anyone approached him about the commercial? Or are y’all just acting like that his real hair?

Errbody tells him they saw him. He thinks he is a Celebrity. He's an older gentleman.

But his is salt & peppa' install is laid & waved to the Gawds. He appears in hair/fashion shows too with his Barber.

The Younger guy tries to fly under the radar with his install, but it is way too perfect.

Even though they are in different divisions - the older guy "outed" the younger one about his install.

Meh. I'm not a fan of the double standard. If it's alright for a woman to wear fake hair, it's alright for a man. Women aren't the only ones who feel a certain way about their hair. Imagine going bald and there's nothing you can do about it? It must be hard; I know men who are balding and it does make them rather sad. To think there's a way to get around it, though not organic or permanent, but to get that boost of self esteem one needs, that is rather nice. I would feel awful if I were insulted for wearing weave (which I have, passive aggresively, been before). So I would turn the other cheek.

I like this one because it shows what his hair looked like before and what a difference the replacement made for him.

He looks great. I wish they didn't have to shave their heads to do this. I am concerned about the type of glue used, and it clogging the pores or leading to permanent loss of follicles which will only exacerbate hair loss and make dependency on this toupee type style rise. :/

Just the visual of this has me giggling extra hard.

But I'm not totally opposed to the idea, just don't know if I'd like someone I was with wearing one. Sure would like to learn how to do this though, I need another steam of income

Today you can surgically change anything that you want about yourself. I don’t see anything wrong with a man getting this done. I would only side eye on the following conditions.

1. He can’t pay his bills or do for his family/ SO/ lady friend but he’s always has the freshest weave.

2. He has the nerve to look down on people who rock their natural hair lines.

3. He’s knowingly damaging his hair follicles and skin just to have a short term hairline solution.
