Hey Beautiful Ladies!

Thought I'd start this Thread early. Between ALL the Cooking, Visiting with Friends & Family, the Traveling, the Eating, the Shopping, the Reflecting, take some time in between this busy Holiday to "Be Thankful"

This has been a Crazy time. Crazy Politics, Crazy Hate-filled Police Callin'/Killin' Folks, Crazy Weather ya'll know what I'm talmbout. Life is getting "deep" right up in through here.

Take some time to Reflect. Remember those we lost this year and the good & fun times we shared with them and be thankful for having them in your lives for the time you had them.

Safe Travels if you are in the Air or on the Road.

Let's remember to Count Our Blessings. Love One-Another. Help Somebody and Most of All, Be Good to Yourself!

So, What Are YOUR Weekend Hair Plans?

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I have a lot of running around to do between today and Saturday so after work today I plan on stopping at the salon. I'll have them wash, shampoo, deep condition and then blow dry my hair. Depending on if I need it or not I might get a trim. Then tonight i'll braid my hair up and put on my wig.

Wash day is either Saturday or Sunday since I just washed Monday... really trying to stretch my washes for a full week. I ran into a new Mielle line with Rosemary while I was in target, so I grabbed the shampoo and DC. I'm so mad!! But I love Rosemary so much... :(

Prewash: Oil scalp with JBCO & rosemary, massage
Shampoo: Mielle Rosemary and Mint
DC: Mielle Rosemary and Mint
Conditioner: Probably QUA organics or TJ TTT

L: Diluted KCNT
C: Garnier Legendary Olive
O: Extra Light EVOO

Braid in 10 sections and let dry for 12 hours.

Cowashing with As I Am Scalp Care Cowash
DC with Edens Marshmallow Almond Mask
NYC Curls Conditioner as Leave In
I'll either use CR Whipped Gel and Renpure styling gel to do some quick finger coils or leave some NYC in my hair and use curl magic to style my wash and go
Diffuse for a bit then air dry

I was finally able to wash my hair yesterday. I was too tired to style it after washing, so I ended up pinning my hair up afterwards. I put my hair in twists today. This will be my Bday weekend, so I’m not sure if I’ll wear my hair out or not.

I’ll be moisturizing and sealing my ends in between time though.

How are you finding the cowash?

I bought the cowash from the long and luxe collection and I am really loving it. I think even more than the Deva No Poo decadence. It definitely has lots and lots of slip, is awesome for finger detangling and helps define rather than frizz up my curls. It also does clean my hair so I am just waiting to use it a number of times to see if it has any drying effects as a cleanser, though so far I don't think it does.

My hair is naturally dry so anything that cleanses tends to dry it out. On the other hand, non-drying cowashes such as CJ Daily Fix and the JC cowash in the yellow tub tend to not be cleansing enough if I have a thick product in my hair.

It's interesting how different heads of hair react differently to products. Even though KCKT is currently my HG leave-in but I find it to be too light and moisturising enough. I'd definitely not want to dilute it. Really interesting!

So I actually dilute it because it doesn't penetrate my hair enough to detangle on its own, without me using half a bottle per section! So I dilute it enough in a spray bottle so that it can be runny and saturate my hair without having to use an entire bottle. Then I can follow with a moisturizing cream (because KCKT isn't moisturizing enough for me either, it's just a good detangler). :D

Oh I see.. My hair is high po so it penertarates well though it tends to foam up in my hair sometimes. What moisturizing cream do you pair it with usually?

It's time to put my hair back up for a while. Going back to crochet braids because the aim is 3months and these are easier to refresh on my own without a professional. Keeping it simple.

Clay: bentonite, kaolin, acv, peppermint, rose jojob oil, coffee
Leave-ins: aphogee provitamin mixed with rose jojoba and neutral protein filler, cocoa butter mix, tgin li
Stretch: Bantu knots for a few hours and then braid/twists for the crochet braids

Finally finished. I've been procrastinating washing my hair for days. For over a month, my go to style has been twist outs but decided to go back into psing.
Shampoo: Design Essentials moisturizing hair bath 2x
Deep conditioner: Lakshmi cupboard Amla and silk deep therapy restorative masque
Leave in: Infusium 23
Blowdry
Moisturizer: QB AOHC and sealed with nature's blessings hair grease (reminds me of old school green dax but natural)
Cornrow and will be wearing a wig.
